We visited The Italians Kitchen for dinner tonight. We shared the Italian House Salad with the family that was fresh and tasty. We had the breadsticks for an appetizer which were made from the pizza dough and were very good. We had the Italian pizza with original crust. The pizza was loaded with toppings and the crust was great! This is a great place in the Woodley Park area for pizza. Waiters were very welcoming and friendly. Great place to go with friends or family.
Good & simple. Paninis are large and pizza crust and sauce is tasty. Their happy hour drink specials are pretty good. I really liked the Italian pizza. There was no wait and service was fair.

We had just checked into our hotel and we were looking for a place to grab dinner. Luckily, there are several restaurants in Woodley Park within walking distance of the Omni Shoreham Hotel. We saw this one and decided to give it a try.
The inside of the dining room was packed full. It's a typical urban restaurant that doesn't lease a big enough space to accommodate their customers. For some reason, city dwellers don't seem to care that they're packed in like sardines at every restaurant they eat at. Myself, I love my personal space. Additionally, the inside of the restaurant was warm and humid. It was an unseasonably hot week in DC anyway, but the second we walked into the restaurant and saw how full it was and how hot and stuffy it was we decided to sit outside. Even though it was a muggy day it was nicer outside than inside. They might want to get their A/C upgraded and replaced or, if it does work, start using it.
I had the Spaghetti with Meatballs, my wife got the Eggplant Parmesan Panini, and my daughter had a thing crust cheese pizza. The spaghetti was good not great. Their marinara sauce is very heavy on the straight tomato flavor and I prefer mine a little heavier on the herbs. My wife thought her panini was just okay. My daughter's pizza was the real star of the show. It was very tasty with a great crust.
Service was great. They could have been a bit more attentive, but I think they were a little overwhelmed with customers. Our waitress was extremely nice.
This is an excellent restaurant!! Wonderful staff, bright/fun atmosphere, delicious food. I got salad and pizza. And I have plenty for tomorrow's lunch or breakfast!! They are also very attentive and paid attention to allergy/dietary restrictions. This goes a long way for anyone but especially my family (sister is gluten free). Major props!

We just stopped in last weekend because we were staying across the street and wanted an easy dinner. They were busy but seated us quickly. The waitress was kind and attentive. Our food was quick and SO GOOD! Our family ordered two ten inch pizzas and manicotti and everything was excellent! We also ordered dessert to celebrate a birthday. Best cannoli ever! Fresh and so so good! We'll definitely be back next time we're in DC.
I recently dined at a charming restaurant where the service was nothing short of celestial. The angelic cashier/server girl not only took my order with grace but also ensured every moment was delightful. Her warmth and attentiveness elevated the dining experience to heavenly heights, making it a truly memorable visit.

This restaurant is proof that you don't have to be high end or fancy to be a good restaurant.
I was there with a group of 5 who were in town for a conference. Since everyone had to file expenses, individual checks were needed, and we were reassured by our server that it wasn't any trouble.
There is a lot to chose from on the menu, so everyone was able to find something they wanted, from apps, slides, salads, to individual small pies.
The service was attentive, but not intrusive. We weren't rushed in any way, and were able to linger with our wine and decompress after a busy day.
For a real slice of traditional Italian food this is the place to go. They make their own dough and sauce everyday and the ingredients are fresh.
The pizza are great with crispy yet firm dough that is covered in real mozzarella. All their dishes are wonderful and cooked to perfection.
We had the pizza, calzone, Stromboli, Greek salad and several other dishes.
Everyone and everything was great and we look forward to our next visit. We got carry out but they have outside seating and convenient street parking.

We had the Milano, hibiscus tea, and their house-made tiramisu and everything was excellent! This place never fails, highly recommend.
