Just on a hockey-watching trip, happened to find this place by chance. Amazing concept and food.. Loved it! Great reason to come back to Washington soon ;)
Visited with friends and the cashier was so nice!! Tried all the sauces and loved it!Definitely a great choice for lunch! PS we have never had Indian food!
I have enjoyed my food every time here. Few times I did notice food to be extra salty which I did not like. I suggest the management to control amount of salt on foods. The Pistachio Lassi was good but extremely sweet (sweeter than what a typical laasi should be). Overall the food is good taste wise but you feel stuffed really quickly.
The food is excellent, and is reasonably priced! The meal was large enough for my wife & I to share. I strongly recommend the Turmeric Mint Limeaide! It's very different, but it is refreshing and once you get used to it, you'll love it. The restaurant was very clean, and the folks there were very friendly.
I found this place looking for cheap Indian eats near the Mall. Took the Metro to the Archives station and was just a short jaunt from the station. It was quiet and I was served immediately. Think Indian Chipotle, you can pick what you want on some type of carbohydrate, add a protein and all the fixings. Wasn't super cheap, but got a big portion, and it was very good! Perhaps a bit Americanized, but still very tasty!
Nice food, decently priced menu.
You'll find some India dishes - cottage cheese (paneer), chickpeas (chole), and even samosa.
The water bottles were quite costly, 1.7$ for 500ml.
Food was tasty.
Didn't like their naan that much.
The toilets were clean.
The dustbins however were full to the top, we tried to throw the leftover garbage from our meal ourselves rather than letting them clean it but the bins were already overflowing.
Good Indian food and good service. The restaurant is compact and clean. You can place you order and pay in advance using their kiosk and the food is delivered to your table. Convenient location in the heart of downtown.
delicious, even the small bowl makes me very full. The free Thai tea is also really nice, but I think there is ginger and some spice in it, so some people might found it too stimulating.
Delicious food and incredible prices! They also have a meatless special on Mondays of veggie bowls or light/regular tofu bowls for just $5. Loved this place.
First time here grabbing a bite to eat with a few co-workers and I must say the food was fresh and tasty. Rice wasn't hard or over cooked. Definitely will find time to come again.

We ordered small food bowl, food was good. Not indian food feel but still you can find channa, paneer.
Food was delicious - price was justified for the area. Staff didn’t seem all that interested in being there - it was pretty slow at the time - but gave good portions and free hot chai at the door.
