Highly recommend
While in DC to visit Fords Theatre, decided to give Ella's a try. We didn't have reservations, which I would suggest, but luckily were able to get a seat.
Service: perfect. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The staff seemed to work well as a team
Food: delicious. From the app, to Ceasar salad, then pizza and Pollo Alfredo. My wife and I enjoyed every bit! Pizza was light, with a perfect crunch
5 stars all across because everything was!!!
From the time our family entered, we were greeted & accepted wonderfully… And tended to throughout our entire dining.
We loved the atmosphere, and our waiter was absolutely great, even when we requested a substitute round of wings, because the first were small.
Truly hit the spot! Would have hung around longer if we had more time. Highly recommend & will definitely return with friends as soon as we can!!
1st time in Washington DC from Dallas. Ella's was my 1st eating establishment, and they did not disappoint. We were seated right away. I ordered a sausage pizza with fresh jalapenos. Their mango lemonade was incredible. The restaurant atmosphere had an awesome vibe (the music and decor). The staff and management were wonderful and attentive.
My daughter and I ate here before a concert and we had a wonderful time! The food was delicious and the wait staff could not have been nicer. Found the prices reasonable for the area and the quality of the food. Not high end but perfect for a quick bite before an event at Cap Arena. (Especially important with picky kids! My daughter had the chicken strips and garlic fries, both which were awesome. I had the orange & strawberry goat cheese salad and loved it on a hot day!)
The calmari, mozzarella burrata and bruschetta were fantastic. We did have to wait for the chicken strips which turned out to be our least favorite. Our server was lovely. Nice place to check out for good food and reasonable prices as you tour the city.
Met a friend here while I was visiting from out of town. I forgot to make a reservation (a big no-no, in this town!) but the staff were pleasant and I was able to get a seat with a reasonable wait. The serving staff were lovely. The food came out amazingly fast (the brussel sprouts were to die for) and the cocktails (I had the Botanist) were spot on.
We had reservations before a concert. They had our table ready for us. The restaurant was crowded but service was top notch. Our server was quick and attentive. The drinks were so good and the food was amazing! We all were happy with the garlic fries and pizza we ordered! Highly recommend this place for good service, quality food and reasonable prices.
Everyone was part of the clean plate club when we were done. Nice informal spot for a large group work dinner.
The spaghetti ragu was decent. Bruschetta was tasty. The pizzas seemed to be the winners. I would try that next time and obviously with the name of the place, I probably should’ve tried it in the first place. 😁 I would rate this a 4.5 if I could do half stars but I blame myself for not ordering the pizza.
I ordered a side of the garlic cheese bread; I would not order that again. Unfortunately, it lacked any sort of flavor.
This is our first trip to Washington DC and we went to the restaurant for the first time on the Friday before the basketball game.
Very impressed with the food and service it was such a great time we went back Saturday night before the hockey game
Yes they just got us a machine to make espresso martinis and they make homemade lemoncello
This place won't disappoint make a reservation as it does get busy at times
We got 2 pizzas, some drinks, and calamari. All of which were delicious! The Margherita pizza I got had great leoparding, a tasty crust, and fresh tasting ingredients. Being from the Midwest this pizza was a lot different than the Chicago/Detroit/Bar styles I'm used to, but still very delicious!
