Good portions and food tasted very good. Very cute intimate place. Service was a little disappointing. After I was already eating I overheard the specials of the night that unfortunately nobody told me about. After I was done with my dessert, 30 mins passed and no one had checked in with me and asked if I needed anything else or the check. I was by myself so I’m not sure if that’s why, because other tables were well taken care of. Spent $80 before tip. No refills on soda apparently since I got charged twice. I would go again if I was in DC.
My sister and I had an amazing experience. We came to visit DC for a birthday weekend and decided to tried some Italian food. The food, the service, and the homely ambiance is top-notch. I had the linguini with lobster, I highly recommend it. I do want to thanked the entire team for making our experience a memorable one!
I would give more stars if available.
Excellent Food, excellent service... all in a comfortable and cozy setting in the Dupont Circle part of DC. One of the BEST meals enjoyed while in Washington recently (our group went to a long list of highly acclaimed restaurants). I usually judge a eatery based on if I would go back... I would got back in a heartbeat!
Hidden gem! The restaurant has been around for awhile and if you haven’t been before make sure this is on your list. Fresh food, made in house. Came in on a Wednesday and was concerned at 7p that we were the only ones there. Soon after you could see regulars coming in that are greeted warmly from the seasoned staff. I went for the specials - olive/anchovy tapenade - not a fish person and the Tempe made was amazing, tomato & mozzarella salad, & pesto gnocchi. I am now ruined because everything was amazing and will be comparing other restaurants to this one. Staff very attentive and almost knew what we needed next. I am a dessert girl but couldn’t even attempt to order because I ate everything that came in front of me. Will be hitting this restaurant again when I come back in the next couple of months.
Great service. Salmon was very good and they were kind enough to change the sauce from the orange to the white wine. dessert was perfect.
Absolutely amazing. The calm pasta is my favorite, it’s light and it’s got hint of herbs freshness. Of course the tiramisu taste fantastic but the sorbet was nice too!
Excellent Italian restaurant. I’d been planning to go there for ages and I’m happy I finally did it. The chef is a really nice guy and the service is excellent. The food is wonderful, representing the best of Basilicata. The wine list is great, though I would expect a bit more representation of Aglianico del Vulture ☺️
Everyone in our entire party said this was the best Italian food they've ever had. Very authentic feel, taste, and atmosphere. Just the right amount of service.. not like a Salesman but very attentive. He was recommended to us by H at the O Museum and they did not disappoint.
This was the best experience for me and my family. The wonderful staff was able to accommodate us (6 people) for a same day dinner reservation on a Saturday. From the moment we walked in the door, I knew everything would be perfect. The atmosphere was quaint and authentic. The staff was very friendly. The food and wine was delicious. I wish I had an Italian restaurant like this where I live. Nothing but wonderful feelings about this place, I can’t wait to come back.
A classic old school neighborhood Italian restaurant. One of the oldest Italian places in this area. Great pasta and a very good wine selection with friendly service that reminds you of home
