Cozy restaurant down in the Washington DC area. The ascetic and scene of the place was welcoming. The service was amazing.Waiter made sure to stop by to see how we were doing. Food was good. The only downside was the portion size of the seafood dish was extremely small and I expected more. A ordered the rosemary Paloma and the drinking was refreshing and tasted great. Overall I enjoyed dining at Logan’s tavern with great service and hospitality ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Had an amazing brunch (BRUNCH on a Monday?!) with my loved ones at Logan Tavern 10/16/2023. The venue has a rustic and very cozy interior, with food that is top tier as far as presentation, taste and quality. We enjoyed the calamari which was more than enough for 3 people, and I had the breakfast sampler platter as my entree which was right on par for me. Along side that we had bottomless mimosas, so the entire experience was amazing. We will be returning, and are so happy the new owners and management have taken this classic DC location up a notch with their rejuvenated menu!
Short version of below… just go, it’s definitely worth it ! For the longer version keep reading :) We decided to visit Logan Tavern randomly after visiting Whole Foods across the street. I have walked past it numerous times but never went inside. When we walked in we were greeted with a smile from the host which let us know we made the right decision to stop in. We got there during happy hour. I ordered a white wine and my boyfriend ordered the red. For food we had the Buffalo shrimp. It was so crunchy and the Buffalo sauce was delicious with it. I liked the Buffalo shrimp so much that we put in another order of it. We ordered the salmon burger to split with the truffle fries. It comes with a jalapeño aioli which was so good and added a nice flavor with the salmon.
OMG!!! Googled this place while walking around in Dupont (DC) and decided to try it. Boy oh boy! We were greeted and seated quickly. Our waiter (Aggie) had good energy and gave recommendations. I had the salmon burger added spinach and mushrooms (extra charge), my brother had the fish and chips, my sister had the veggie burger. Everything was fresh, well seasoned and amazing!!! On top of that we saw a sign for $20 bottomless mimosas EVERYDAY!!!! Will definitely be back!!!
We went early @4:30pm on a Monday and didn't need a reservation. This is the best food we have had on our trip so far. The New York steak was cooked to perfection and bonus it was on delicious mashed cauliflower which tasted amazing. My wife had the crab cakes and she loved the and my son had the fish and chips. He said they were second only to Bowpicker in Astoria Oregon but that's 2,900 miles west of here! Lastly we has some desert. The mango key lime pie was fabulous and the strawberry cheesecake phenomenal. I would definitely come again.
The food was great, I had the Summer Seafood Fettucini, and my wife had the signature burger. They were both great.
They seemed a little short-handed today as our server was waiting tables outside and inside, which just made for a little longer wait, and we had to have our bill corrected for a minor issue. Great food though.
Logan Tavern was a great dining experience. I initially did not expect much as I chose here for a quick lunch before another event in the area. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon without a reservation and was sat immediately. My server was great, although he lacked some information about the menu, was able to ask the kitchen staff without any issues. I ordered the LT Signature Burger and Boozy Sweet Tea. Both items surprised me with how good they turned out. The Boozy Sweet Tea was not incredibly sweet and tasted amazing. The Signature Burger was great as well as the fries comparable to places that specialize in burgers. Based on my experience I would come again just to try something different and see if they can surprise me again. This place is worth a try if you enjoy burgers and drinks. My only issue would be parking. I was lucky to find a spot out front, but I can see that being an issue if its a busier time of day.
Really good food and drinks. The front door host made sure I was taken care of and didn’t wait too long.
Overall the food was good, some hits some misses. The server was very friendly and attentive. There’s a bit of an identity crisis here and you can see it in the menu. Is it a tavern or is it trying to be higher-end? The burger says tavern but the way they plated my southern fried chicken says high-end. I almost laughed when I saw it. It would have been better served more casually.
Amazing service here. Our waitress was very sweet and friendly, giving us all the best recommendations and attentive to our needs. The food was amazing. I loved the steak and eggs, it wasn't an aggressive portion but the right sized to be full and comfortable without the discomfort and regret afterwards that you've over eaten. The bloody Marys were awesome! They offer different kinds of bloody Marys and you can choose which topping you'd like. There is also a huge boot sized bloody Mary but i went for an easy individual size. The dessert options are so great. I love the Mango key lime pie which I think is the restaurant favorite. Would come back again and again!
