I came in on a slow day so my smoothie came out really quickly but what I most appreciated was that Sofia handed it to me rather than placing it on the counter in front of me, especially because I was standing right there. She was also smiling and really friendly. Much needed in this world today.
I have been going to this tropical smoothie on my way to work. The food and smoothies are always good and my mobile orders are always ready on time. To top it off the manager is wonderful.
Love this location. The manager is amazing and it shows in her employees too! They know what I get and bring it out to my car if they see me waiting in line. Super impressed!!
Out walking the service dog; when, one of the owners of Tropical Smoothie (Tony) engaged me in conversation; and, offered to set up an outside table for us. Having been on Covid-Lock-Down for too long.., a meal at a table outside was too good to refuse. I ordered a burito, my best friend ordered a bowl of chicken and Tony (to NY) suggested "Detox Island Green" as something healthy, natural and good! A delicious way to enjoy beautiful weather and healthy food. Thank you Tony and Thank you Tropical Smoothie Cafe!
Update: 4 yrs later, Been visiting this location, I love the Chi Banana Boost with peanut butter. Austin is always kind, polite and smiling when taking my order. He's a pleasant young man. Thank you Austin!
Tried Acai berry and it was delicious! 2nd favorite to mango magic.
This tropical smoothie and the staff are just amazing! I am a diabetic and every time I get a smoothie before my sugars would spike. This time I spoke with the staff and asked them if they could make some modifications to my smoothies since I have high blood sugar issues . They were so helpful they gave me suggestions and I was able to get my smoothie just as good with low sugar options. Thank you for going above and beyond. This is the tropical smoothie to go and get your smoothies and food they are great!

I called from Maine (yes Maine to VA Beach) hoping for the least to arrange for a co-worker of my daughter to stop in and pick up a gc If I could purchase over the phone,
For her birthday. Instead I was blessed to have Katie, the GM and the phone and she did so much more! She went above and beyond the call and delivered it to my daughters place of work (just around the corner). It’s her bday and she is holding down the fort during military deployment.
This was a great experience with Tropical Smoothie Cafe of Haygood Rd. To feel the love, respect towards military family and hospitality was a pleasant welcoming experience.

AMAZING!! This is my favorite Tropical Smoothie Cafe. It is the only TSC that has a drive-thru in Virginia. The staff here is so nice. The owner is involved, and they are so personable. Staff is always so sweet and attentive. Not to mention they are very informed. I ONLY go to this cafe, I literally drive out of my way to go here! The food and smoothies are immaculate, literally like no other cafe.
I’ve been here a few times both pre and post Covid and the cleanliness is impeccable. The crew and owner have fabulous attitudes every time I come and are genuinely nice people. The owner recommended the Detox Island Green and that smoothie did not disappoint. So yummy!! I love this particular Tropical Smoothie. I’ve been to others but they don’t compare to the quality and experience I get here. Keep up the good work.
