Being new to Virginia Beach is quite an eye opening experience! The bartender here asked me questions that made me feel more comfortable then ever. Almost like home. Everyone there was having a great time. I can't wait to go back. Unlike that crazy Shirley lady, yikes ! Stay away from there. No Love. 3QM2B5STARS
Best neighborhood bar around. We enjoy coming by to play pool or darts. The drinks and food are very affordable.

Great place. It has a homey atmosphere, cheap drinks, decent food. The highlight, the people. The regulars are a bunch of really good people that are fun to be around. I went to this bar regularly for years, and have driven several hours just to see old friends there. Anytime I’m in the area, this is the one place I make sure I make time to go back to. Mostly it’s for the atmosphere and the people.

Fran's Ready Room is basically just a great, no frills neighborhood bar to hang out with friends at and enjoy reasonably priced drinks. If you're so inclined, you can also play darts, shoot some pool, catch the game on TV, or queue up your favorite songs on the TouchTunes jukebox.
As for food, there isn't really a standing menu; just a handful of seemingly random options on any given day that are scribbled down on chalkboards behind the bar. But don't take that as any indication of the quality of the food itself; despite the limited choices, the food is actually pretty good for what it is. As long as you keep in mind that it's a lounge, not a restaurant, you might even be a little surprised by how much you enjoy what you order.
All of that said, the true charm of Fran's Ready Room is the crowd. From the bartenders to the longtime regulars, everyone's just there to relax and have fun. If you show up with an open mind and are willing to leave any drama at the door, you're bound to have a great time here.
Great place to hang out with good people. Great prices, great atmosphere, great staff. I have never met a stranger there. This was the "Go to" place when I was in the Navy, so many fond memories of this place... and after all these years it hasn't changed! Still the best place to relax and enjoy a good time in this Navy town!
The Ready Room is a Virginia Beach staple. The atmosphere is electric and the service is outstanding! You will always have a great time here. Anna Maria is so friendly and attentive!
