Pretty good. We enjoyed our sushi, but found the soups to be too salty. I had the sweet and sour, my friend had miso. Hers was inedible.
Also we thought the menu was too large and confusing.
Décor is nice and service was good. We will probably go back.

Came here for lunch and wanted to take the whole restaurant back to Wilkes-Barre PA with me it was so good.
Today its my bday and my husband took me here and I love this place. Clean resturant, friendly and fast service and prices are pretty fair :)
So good!. I am not a big sushi eater. I've tried several places and never found a roll I loved until Volcano. Their selections are endless and I actually found a roll I could eat. You don't even need to dip it in soy sauce to add flavor! This is the only place I'll go to for sushi! They also have a wonderful selection for non sushi eaters as well!
Top of the line. I have been to a plethora of sushi restaraunts in the virginia beach area through the years and none have stuck out in any way. All seem to have about the same normal sushi taste. Volcano's sushi pieces have enourmous flavor in every different style I have tried. Do not be fooled by it's location in the shopping center as this has no bearing on the food inside. The design inside is also quite nice.

Loved this Sushi Bar... I used to come here all the time for sushi. Everytime I came by the sushi was always fresh. The prices here for sushi are rather cheap when compared to the sushi restaurants in Richmond (which is where I live now). I just came down here a couple months ago and it was the same like I remembered it. I will always come here for sushi when I'm down at the beach.
My love place. I really love this sushi bar, the worker are so friendly, and also the sushi is so fresh and yummy, love their dinner bento box, good deal.

Nice quiet place with fast service and a peaceful atmosphere. The music was a blend of cultural pieces with top 40's played at just the right volume to keep conversations at the table they were being had at.
The sashimi was melt in your mouth fresh, and every dish served was a work of art.
The server was fast and attentive but not intrusive.
Very nice place to go solo, with family or on a date. I will return.
Fast service, friendly staff, delicious food. The gyoza was scrumptious and the sauce that came with it was so yummy. The Bento box hit the spot. Would definitely go back again!
Some of the best sushi in Virginia Beach! We just went there tonight for take out and the order was ready right on time. Because of the pandemic, they’re not allowing anyone inside the building, but they were all set up at the door to take our names and payments. We waited out front with a few other people and shortly after arriving were able to get our food! I was a little nervous because sometimes take out isn’t as good, but this was the same quality you’d get if you sat inside! Highly recommend.
Excellent sushi restaurant. Really good special rolls. Loved the Chilean sea bass one. Definitely would come back.
Volcano has a nice, relaxing atmosphere! Fresh and tasty food. The rolls are marked as spicy, raw and cooked so you can choose what you have a taste for. Their Twin Tower roll is one of my favorites. It's built around long, crunchy tempura shrimp. The Bento box is a good choice to sample several items. It comes with miso soup, white or fried rice and salad.

Lunch prices have risen, but the Bento boxes offer larger portions than last year! Service was better today.

The food was SOOOOO good. The waitress was busting her butt. She was doing the bar take out and 7 tables. Yet the service was still great. So nice and sweet to my 2 year old which is always a challenge to take a toddler out to dinner. She loved the noodles !!!
Excellent sushi!!! My favorite sushi place in VB ! I did take off one star because the rolls are about half the size of anywhere else!
