My family and I stopped by Side Street Cantina unplanned. We liked the atmosphere. It has a hole in the wall atmosphere, in a good way. The food was great and the service was excellent. I got the California Steak Burrito and the meat was cooked well and the ingredients were fresh. My wife got the carne asada tacos and they were good as well. I would recommend this place as a good lunch spot if you’re in the mood for Mexican food and in the area.
Came here for the first time visiting virgina beach. Chips and salsa was complimentary which was the best. Pina colada was a 2/5. Chimichanga was a 5/5, taco salad was a 5/5. Definitely would visit this local again.
The best Mexican food we've had in a long long time! This place is a hidden gem on the side street!!! Food was beyond excellent, service was great and friendly with a great atmosphere! Will definitely be back 😁
I love this little place! I ate here a few years ago and really enjoyed it so since I was in town for work decided to check it out again. The atmosphere is casual and fun! The food is amazing! They puree the guacamole to a smooth texture and add lime to it which is such a refreshing version. I ordered a (massive!) burrito which was delicious. Chips and salsa were great too. Will definitely return next time I am in town.
This place has wonderful food, and if I was a local I would definitely eat here all the time! Food was fresh & hot, and the drinks extremely refreshing. My only minor complaint was it took a little while to get served once I sat down, but it was busy so I can't fault them too much for that.

We were in VA Beach again and had to stop in for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised to see grilled tuna on the menu! Omy goodness it was incredible. I had a salad along with it and it was delicious too! They serve A LOT of food! It's soo delicious!

Walking into Side Street Cantina, felt like we weren't even in Virginia Beach anymore. Amazing, quaint lil place. The ambiance & the music were incredible! As was the gentleman who waited on us. The food was Soo delicious & flavorful!! Make sure you try the queso blanco!
The food had been not so great last year but this time it was outstanding. Table side mango guacamole was to die for. Wish we were able to see them make it because the lid was in the way and my mom couldn't see them make it but....it was so good.
Woo delicious house margarita and that too on happy hour, caused us to sit there and order some food. The food was amazingly delicious. The ambience was so great that we asked our friends to come over and join us may be that was the margarita talking :) and that’s because the bartender was too generous to make us drink :)
We were seated really quickly for lunch today. Our waiter was really nice and made sure my meal was tomato-free! The steak fajitas were amazing!! My sister loved her raspberry margarita!
Great food, best guacamole we’ve had! Everyone is really nice, too.
