So, if you look at the number of 4-5 star reviews vs the 1-2-3 reviews you get the feeling that you will Love this place. But, if you don't you will HATE it with as much passion as JJ seems to have for what he does. When 2 type A personalities clash, you can't have it both ways. Knowing nothing, but what I read over the last day about JJ's, only the reviews and the hype, I decided I needed to take my Salesman in and get a burger. We arrived at 12:40, and I tried to break the ice by asking JJ if there was any food left or if we should come again another day. He said we were good to go and have a seat. The menu is more like a short option list. You come there for the ribeye burger, you may or may not want cheese.. I assume if you asked nice, you could get it well done, but, I could be wrong. We simple asked for the cheese type we wanted and let JJ take us on the path that he has been on for decades. 19.95 for a three course 'steak' burger meal is not really over priced. Its not MCD or home of the have it your way special. it was one of the most flavorful, IF NOT the most flavorful burger I have eaten. i'm too much of a food'ey to steer you wrong. I got my membership card, I will be back. Perhaps not often, but that is ok. This place is an experience. Maestro Please...

Maybe the most flavorful meat I've had on a burger, and I looooove burgers. This place is right up there with Fat Guy's for the best burger in town. I knew the guy's reputation going in, but he was perfectly pleasant. Just be polite and you will have a good experience. My only complaint is that it's a little overpriced. I would happily pay $10 for the burger, but you have to pay $20 for the burger plus all the other stuff. Regardless, you should try it at least once.

First time visitng the Famous JJ's burger joint located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. First and foremost, the atmosphere is very nostalgic and offers the patrons a blast from the past with the decorations and artwork. The owner and his wife are both very friendly and care about the quality of service and food served. From the homemade cocktail sauce to the homemade pickles served with your burger the food is outstanding. As seen in the pictures, one clean "Happy Plate" I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a quality burger and great service. The history that follows this place is worth a visit in its own, let alone a great meal? Must visit JJ's if given the opportunity!

The owner is great! The decor is so interesting and quaint. The building is old, quirky and down right cute. Have a seat and be served. You eat and drink what they bring you and IT IS DELICIOUS!!

As you can tell from other reviews this is a love it or hate is establishment. I came by when they opened on Friday and JJ warmly welcomed me. I found the food delicious and mixed with the atmosphere a lovely lunch. The owner seems to genuinely value people taking and eating and enjoying the atmosphere. That being said this place is very unique and I’m sad to hear it is closing

Had passed this place regularly and wanted to check it out so I stopped in. Had no idea what to expect, so I was a little surprised there was only one meal option available, but I thought the food was great. The restaurant itself is incredibly quaint and packed with memorobilia and the owner was super kind. I don't have a large appetite so I didn't eat a lot and he even said he wasn't going to charge me since I ate so little (I still insisted on paying). I was sad to hear him say they won't be there much longer 🙁 possibly another three or four months, so try them before they're gone.

My wife and I had the opportunity to eat here for our "kid free lunch". The environment inside is unlike anything you will find in Tulsa- very eclectic and a home town vibe. It honestly reminded me of the bars in the UK. The service was exceptional, and the food was even better. The sauce for the shrimp cocktail was absolutely amazing. The burger- while not the biggest in the world, was solid and you can certainly TASTE the quality in the burger. For an area of Tulsa that is undergoing massive amounts of gentrification- I hope JJ's gets to stay around, as its a classic timeplace for us all to enjoy.

There are very few places that one can go out to eat and leave saying that they've had an experience...JJ's is definitely one of those places.

I had wanted to come here for a long time. When I arrived, the decor was surprising. I wasn't expecting such a nice looking place. Having never read any reviews, I was surprised when cocktail shrimp was presented as the appetizer, let alone ANY appetizer. The sauce was excellent! Wanted to take the rest home. The burger was tender as could be. The baked beans weren't really my style, but I still ate them. The second surprise came for dessert. Didnt know it was part of the meal. Chocolate lava cake? Didn't ask. Doesn't really matter, does it? There was also an espresso, or tiny cup of coffee, I don't know which since I've never ordered an espresso. There was whip cream on top, but it wasn't sweet like a cappuccino. I wasn't expecting to spend $20+ dollars before walking in, but glad I went. I'll go back again.

This place isn’t for the faint of heart. The owner/waiter is a very interesting character that doesn’t care if he is rude or not. He’s just putting out the dang best burger I’ve ever had by far. The only “downside” is the waiter, and that’s only if you can’t take a joke. He has very (hilariously) dry humor and the other reviews show that they just don’t get it, understandably. Overall the high price tag is worth it, everyone should try it at least once regardless of what they think of the man in charge, his burgers are superb!

I've meant top come here for years, but the schedule never allowed for it. The stars finally aligned and I'm so very glad they did. This is the absolutely best burger I have ever had in my life. The atmosphere is cluttered and the music outdated. The owner is friendly, but speaks his mind. None of that mattered when I took the first bite of my burger. It was so divine that the taste literally brought a tear to my eye.
