Have eaten at The Cookhouse several times in the past few weeks and have got nothing but outstanding service. Have been waited on by Stephanie, Susie and Bailey (hopefully spelling is right) and each one was great. Coffee is always full and food is always on point. I love the chicken fried steak with eggs for breakfast. You get so much food it's almost like having two meals. I live in south Tulsa but it's def. worth the drive when I can make it out that way.
If you have not eaten here you don't know what your missing I'm addicted everything is amazing from the cookhouse breakfast, fried pickles and cheesesticks, chicken tenders, chicken fried chicken and that mac n cheese is by far the best in town along with the sweet tea and lemonade.
Home Cooking! It was so good. The portion was huge. Great value for the cost.
Good food. great portions. Chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken are had battered. Onion rings are delicious, fried corn bits are awesome and hand made mozzarella sticks.
Service is great Drink never went empty and friendly waitress even as late as we went in. will definitely be back for more of this.
Had a great experience for our first visit. I had the Cowboy Skillet and my wife had Chicken Livers. The staff was very friendly. The food was amazing and plenty of it for the money. And homemade peach cobbler for dessert. We will for sure be back. Our new hidden gym of Tulsa.
I first came to the cook house because my wife and I like to try different restaurants around Tulsa, and so we came in on a Saturday evening, which was fairly busy. We were seated by a young man and immediately received our drinks. Around 5 minutes after, we placed an order, and received our food an additional 10 minutes after that. The cowboy was excellent, the wife said the chicken fried steak was excellent, as well as the sides. Very homey feel complimented by savory food. Definitely coming back!
Seen this place from the road. Was intetested in the fact it says home cooking, since there's way too much processed food out there. Finally got a chance to stop an try this place out. Was seated almost immediately. Waitress was very accommodating as my daughter uses a wheelchair and my granddaughter felt very at ease. Kids menu is standard, but the waitress customized for her concerns. The rest had catfish and catfish w/shrimp. We did have a wait which for home cooking should be expected. The prices was budget friendly and the food was at the right temperature. We we're very pleased with the service, food and decor. Thought it was odd about the way they charge when paying for the food, but if you bring cash instead of a card you can save additional on the ticket. We're diffently going back, I'm just going to have cash on hand next time too :) thanks cookhouse for caring what you serve people
We've been three times now and each time was excellent. The catfish and country fried steak dinners are favorites and our dinner guest loved the house-made dressing on her yummy salad filled with leafy greens and fried chicken. The sweet tea is exceptional, as is the service. Today we called and they were closed and yet still sold us the yeast rolls we were wanting to serve at home! We look forward to many more visits and trying different menu items.
We enjoyed our late lunch visit here. Everything was spotless, the servers are fast and friendly, and the food was hot and fresh. I give it five stars for more than than these reasons. They did a great job decorating, and the atmosphere is cozy. There are plenty of tables, though. Try the desserts--delish!
My salad was very fresh. I ordered it with no tomatoes and it came with tomatoes but when the waiter discovered it he immediately took it back and replaced it with a new one. My husband's chicken fried steak tasted like it might have been fried with the same oil as the fish 🤨 unfortunately. But the chicken tenders and fries were very good.
This restaurant is excellent. We had the chicken philly, an omelet, and the club. All fantastic! Best sweet potato fries in town, hands down. The staff was all very welcoming and knowledgeable. Couldn't ask for a better dining experience! We will be back for more!
This was our second time coming here. My son Noah loves this place. We came on December 5th around 3:30ish. There were 2 very sweet ladies working. They did a fantastic job and the food was absolutely amazing! My son insists we come back at least twice a week!
