Great breakfast and atmosphere! The gentlemen and lady behind the bar are splendid to have conversations with! Quick to get your food and coffee refilled. Hand down a great place, I'll be back!
The Deuce is my home-base for breakfast. Whether for a regular menu item, a special scramble off the big board, a build-your-own omelet, or a lighter dish like homemade granola, it has your breakfast desire.
It is a cool setting, with records and other memorabilia on the walls, and a hot sauce bar featuring dozens of obscure bottles of heat. The bar is the place to be to take in enlightening conversation from Chris Cooley, the multi-faceted artist that just happens to own the diner. While he skillfully engages on any topic, his business sense subtly carries the day. Everything is in place, anything can be done, and it is always done efficiently. It is an eclectic crew, for sure, but they make meals happen in an endearing fashion.
Best Of:
Big Waffle - A well-done round and quartered waffle, sweet enough that no syrup is necessary, topped with bacon and eggs any style.
Trainer's Special - Scrambled egg whites and sausage, and a big buckwheat pancake. Again, no syrup needed.
Harvard Special - If you go big, the big chicken-fried chicken with eggs and other breakfast accompaniment will handle any appetite.
Lunch is great too! But I'm a breakfast guy, and BBD II The Deuce is tough to top.
Came in for lunch for the first time. Like their breakfast a lot even though it gets crowded for brunch. Place is pretty empty around this time of day. Wife had the chicken club with fries and I had the chicken fried chicken. Her's was very good and fries were decent. They charge extra for three fries over chips which sucks a little. Chicken fried chicken was decent but the gravy o it wasn't that tasty and very salty. Mash potatoes were decent and green beans good. Next time I think I'll try a hot sandwich or huger for lunch.
In town for a few days nd always look for a good breakfast place. Very good basic fare. Would visit again.
Another good place for Sunday. Can't go wrong with eggs and bacon.
Small local cafe for the neighborhood. Nice vibe and good solid breakfasts. Good value too.
Good!. I normally hate eating breakfast out because it is usually greasy and leaves me feeling horrible for the rest of the day. That was not the case here! I thought the food was good! And the service was great! Better yet, I didn't regret the meal later!! I will definitely go back!
Like!. I love coming to this place for breakfast on the weekends! I have one caveat...Sundays are always crazy busy with the church crowd so be prepared to come early or wait for a table. Otherwise, the service is great and the selection of omelettes is wonderful. Tasty stuff!
Great!. Their breakfast is great! Their coffee actually tastes like coffee and not hot water!
Sat morning spot. This place should be a mandatory saturday morning eat-spot; yah they are pretty busy but they move enough folks around and have way more room than BBD on Peoria.
Wonderful breakfast. Ordered the Florentine omelet and it was great. Angel was our server and she was wonderful.
A friend of mine and I were meeting a mutual friend that lives in this area. Because of its location, I don't normally go here. The server was good about getting us our drinks after we all sat down. We had to wait a short bit, however, before she came to get our food order, not to mention that there was no creamer for my coffee. Once it arrived, though, it was quite tasty. There were no complaints from the rest of my party as they ate all or most of their breakfast. There was a good selection to choose from on the menu. My friend, that lives in this area, said that he comes here often. I will admit that if I, too, lived closer by, I could see this as one of my breakfast stops as well.
One of our favorites in Tulsa. The menu offers abundant choices for any meal. The steak from our steak and eggs breakfast was amazing; tender, flavorful and perfectly portioned. We've breakfasted at BBD2 most often and whatever our food choices have been, we've never been displeased. It's a casual friendly little stop reminiscent of those charming long standing haunts of the locals.
This was our first time here and we were sooo happy with our visit. The food was amazing, from the gravy to the Steak Fingers to the Soup to the fresh cheese curds. Everything was home made, we will definitely be back. And our waitress Stacy was so great and friendly.
Great breakfast spot! Fast service! Food was great! They had tons of healthier options on the menu as well. Just good food served well! Service was spot on as well! This place is going on our list! Especially if we are staying down by the river!
It was good! It was busy but we didn’t mind! It was a beautiful day! Our server was on top of it all and very sweet! I got the protein pancake and such I was sooo full I couldn’t eat it all. So good too!
The best breakfast in town. We love all the servers- they become like family. Breakfast options are so good I can’t even bring myself to try lunch. My husband and I come here every week for our date day and when the kids join us they love it too.
Great vibes and happy employees makes for a great meal. Customers are enjoying this spot. Folks at the bar. And the food is outstanding.
We came down to bowl the Tulsa 2021 Open Tournament. The restaurant is right across the bridge about 3 miles. Very nice diner and has the old skool music vibe. Jake was our waiter, pretty cool to see a Waiter take these Big Boys breakfast orders and not write anything down. Their very generous on food portions a very good price for what you order.
Definitely add this Diner to your Tulsa visit.
FYI order the Cinnamon Roll, its Huge. We seen it come out. Delicious looking smelled awesome.
Standard diner atmosphere with an extensive menu for both lunch and breakfast, with the latter served all day!
The food was solid diner fare, however I was hoping for a little more flair/presentation with how the food was described. It was tasty, but not as fresh as some other restaurants in the area.
They have a hot sauce bar with a wide selection of exotic and uncommon sauces, high points for me!
The staff was incredibly helpful and personable. Even with a large group they made sure everyone was taken care of and drinks rained filled.
If you are local to the area I recommend coming here for a weekend breakfast :)
