I moved out of Tucson 16 yrs ago but whenever I go back to visit friends & family Eegees is always a must have while I'm there. It's home to me
n the last 2 weeks, I have been Eegees three times. My husband and I always love the sandwiches when we don't feel like cooking. We are senior citizens now. We are from the Philadelphia area where the sandwiches called "Hoagies" are delicious and famous all over the country. Eegees sandwiches remind us of them quite a bit. (It's your oil & vinegar. ) New York has their yummy "Heros", and Boston their "Subs" (Submarine Sandwiches). Anyway we have had many of all of those sandwiches through the years. Your franchise has elements of all of these types of sandwiches, with the lettuce, tomatoes and onions sliced paper thin and dressed nicely in oil & vinegar. Also, we like the Turkey with Mayo dressing too. So people love the sandwiches, pretzels & the Eegee which was invented right here in Tucson! But, what makes Eegees on Thornydale special is the staff. We have been in the neighborhood since Jan. 2003 and have never had a bad experience at your location. You hire hard working but very professionally courteous staff. Always. During these 3 visits mentioned above, a gem of a young woman, Breanna has been working there. Late at night, with a cleaning bottle and cloth, she greeted me with the biggest smile. She took my order too, I was digging through my purse for change to pay for the sandwich. Embarrassing but she was so sweet & patient. She is professional, courteous, intelligent. But most of all she is kindhearted. As a former business owner for 19 years, we always treated our employees well. But, we did expect them to help keep the place tidy during the slow times. We expected respect for all, and professionalism, honesty. Breanna is a winner, if we were still in business, she would be #1 on the Must Hire List.
A Tucson classic, I love a good Eegee in the summer on a hot day. Something about it just hits the spot. The food (everything not an eegee) is basic subs, but due to food allergies I cannot eat here. I have tried to get food here but it is not possible to avoid cross contamination for my needs, I tried a few times at different locations and always ended up getting something I cannot eat (still 4 stars for service as most people won't have this issue). Always plenty of room to sit down and eat if you want.
The cherry cider was delicious. The cashier was kind and thorough. Politely saying that she'd be right with us a she was busy helping a coworker.
Love Eegees Great food and service !! Hate the new boxes that the Pizza fries are served in . The box has disintegrate multiple times while pulling out of the bag leaving mess on rest my families lunch!! Update I saw new boxes & changed my review to 5 Stars !!!!
The eegee's hit the spot - they're fun and unique, the flavors are great, and I can see myself craving them in the future! The building itself was pretty dingy, we'll stick to the drive thru. The staff weren't rude, but gave off some passive aggressive vibes, like they obviously did NOT want to be there.
There was an order mix up and I was given the wrong sandwich. They were very nice and made me a new one that was correct. Thank you!
Delicious Eeggee drinks! I seem to crave these the most. I live out of town and have to come back to have another eeggee! They have a good selection of sub sandwiches and fries. They serve crinkle fries too! I always visit Eeggees when I visit Tucson
A Tucson staple! New pretzels are amazing, sandwiches are still great.
Came here to eat with my son on Feb 20th. Around 6pm. The girl working the register absolutely amazing. So nice and very helpful. Didn't catch a name nobody wears name badges. But she's doing a wonderful job. Will be back cause of her. Thank you.
The atmosphere has fallen since it was bought out but the food is still good. The Ina location has some of the best Eegees service I've experienced.
Best fast food service in a long time. After long day it hit the spot
