Great food. Great staff. We’ve had one bad experience ordering to go but other than that it’s always been great and we stopped ordering to go and only dine in. Problem solved. We called the manager when we ordered to go about our issue (missing food items) and they wouldn’t solve the problem. The food is so good that it we just eat at the restaurant from now on. We’ve been eating here over 10 years and we love it. Very kid friendly. Delicious food and margaritas. We recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Food was good and came quickly. We tried the prickly pear margarita, but I am not sure I tasted much prickly pear (though it was good). The salsa was very spicy and good.
The beef tacos were so tasty I had them two nights in a row. My only regret was not getting the chimi because it was huge and loaded with an absurdly delicious-looking about of cheese.
The staff was awesome, even with my super picky colleague.
Food was excellent. Got the feeling that we were being hurried to leave, when in all time considered from the time we sat down(party of 4) and the time we left didn't exceed 40 minutes. They stood over us waiting to take plates, before everyone had finished. Wasn't a fan of being reached over as the food and drinks were handed out. There was plenty of room to deliver each person's drink and meal to the person, instead of everything passed in front of my face. Outside of that.....Again, the food was excellent.
Servers were not attentive at all, food was wonderful and I enjoyed the live music very much with the wonderful mountains view.
Everything here is delicious!!! Today, we had the ceviche, grilled fish tacos, and the Sinalia Shrimp Culichi.
As your local Tucson Realtor, I always find El Charro as a great restaurant for lunch or dinner. The food is always fresh and prepared well. They also serve vegetarian and plant based meals. The tres leches cake is a must.
Very good food and friendly service. We sat at the bar, and unfortunately we felt the cold wind on our backs every time someone opened the restaurant’s door. Other than that, the place is fairly clean, nicely decorated, and the staff is very friendly. The food was great (enchiladas, tamales, refrito and charro beans) and we enjoyed our time. Only minus is they have TVs at the bar, playing basketball or whatever sport is at the time - I know it’s America and TVs in restaurants are ok, but not for me or for anyone who wants to concentrate in their company or their food (or both)
I went during the week for lunch. I wanted something vegan and they had many options. I ordered the green corn tamales and rice. The happy hours and lunch specials are very reasonable. I ordered a prickly pear margarita which was half off. For 2 of us, we walked out paying $35 with a tip. Pkus food to go home with. The scene is old town mezico. With prompt service. Clean and a nice bar, with inside and outside seating.
El pastor burro w grilled chicken/pina rice and beans definitely delish i would recommend.
