Excellent food...appetizers, steak dinner, lobster tail, desserts, drinks. Prices are high but comparable to other “high end” steakhouses. Bar staff were quick and efficient.

Manager was very helpful in ensuring our table of 11 received the correct items. Waitress was pleasant and accommodating. I would recommend Rails!
Went there for the first time and thought it was amazing all around! The restaurant itself, prohibition style “hidden” room, the staff, service and most importantly the food were perfect. We were seated promptly per our reservation, had a very pleasant and knowledgeable waitress, and the steaks were every bit as good as described. Our table had the porterhouse for 2, petit filet mignon and a spectacular 60 day aged cowboy steak. Each of the side dishes get High marks as well. Dessert you say?? Try the carrot cake but be prepared to share! I definitely will be back!
Simply fantastic ambiance food and service. We got there a little early so decided to grab a few drinks at the bar and enjoyed them immensely. We got seated and orders our apps and main. The burrata is brilliant and so is the oven baked pizza great taste but not overly filling which was good. Overall would go back there again for sure

Had a coke with grenadine and chambord. For an appetizer I had grilled octopus which was excellent but could have benefited with a choice of sauces and balsamic vinegar.
For dinner I had rock shrimp risotto which was also delicious.
The only change I would say would be offer more gluten free and dairy free dessert options.
Overall, best meal of 2023 so far!!! That says a lot about the restaurant.

I came here for a date night with my GF to have a nice steak dinner somewhere and came across Rails in my search. I heard about it from social media and decided to give it a try. The dining room is elegant with a nice classy vibe to it. We were greeted promptly by our waitress who seemed pretty new but was very nice. If she didn’t know something she was sure to ask to confirm which I appreciated. We ordered some apps which was some oysters, burrata cheese, and slice of bacon slab. Everything was delicious, my favorite would have to be the bacon. It was very tender and great flavor. Next was salad, I love a good Cesar salad especially with anchovies in it which was given here. My gf had a strawberry feta salad which was always very good. For dinner I had the filet and my gf had the ribeye I believe with some mushrooms, asparagus, and potato dish. Everything was delicious, steak was cooked a perfect medium rare and was flavorful. We were stuffed at the end so couldn’t do dessert. We did explore the speakeasy bar for a drink which was pretty cool as well. The whole dining experience was very enjoyable and the food was very well executed. I would definitely recommend and will be coming back again.

I had the special, chili rib eye. It was good but, meh, 1 and done.
Wife enjoyed her Chilean sea bass.
The carrot cake was very good but, crazy enormous !

Fantastic experience and meal at Rails. This place is top notch from the second you walk in the door. Appetizers were delicious and filling. The calamari was great. Tasted fresh and was not the least bit oily. Thai shrimp was tasty and not too spicy. Had the filet mignon which was amazing. Delicious and tender beyond belief. One of the best steaks I’ve had in the state of NJ! Ribs were not only huge, but also delicious and tender. The meat just came right off the bone. The side dishes are worthy of being a la carte. Mashed potatoes were made from real potatoes and were excellent. The creamed spinach was a cheesy delight. If you have any room left, save it for dessert. The carrot cake is colossal and enough for 3-4 people. I’m not a fan of carrot cake, but this one was exceptional. Overall, Rails exceeded my expectations and I can’t wait to go back to try out the rest of the menu.

We needed to find a good steakhouse between Nanuet NY and Morristown NJ to celebrate our birthdays and anniversary with our son. We've never been to Rails but will definitely be coming back. The food was absolutely delicious and only to be outdone by the service from Brittany. All our appetizers, steaks and sides were perfectly cooked and generous portions. The cocktail choices was excellent and many choices for a bourbon drinker like myself. For dessert the buttercake was off the charts and best I've ever had outside of Mastro's Steakhouse.
The ambiance of this alone is beautiful and the food was fantastic. The calamari was crisp and not chewy. I got the wagyu sliders and you could tell it was the real deal. The ahi tuna was delicious and so was the spinach. Don't leave without getting the bread pudding it tastes like heaven.
Went with a group of 10 and we all enjoyed our experience here. The food, cocktails, and dessert were all delicious. To be more specific, the old fashioned was excellent, steak perfectly cooked and the huge piece of carrot cake was out of this world. The restaurant itself is very nice and comfortable. Of course steak houses are pricey, but our experience was worth it.
