Try this place!. Eckhard's will not disappoint! Food is fresh, delicious, and well prepared. Prices can be relatively high, but it is worth it. Very nice atmosphere and friendly service. We ate here on Valentine's Day and had a great experience. We will be back!

Our favorite "special" place to go!. Eckhard's is more than a restaurant; it's a dining experience :)
From the crackling fireplace in the winter to the warm greetings from wait staff to the outstanding menu, Eckhard's is where we go whenever we have something to celebrate.
The menu is not simply German, though the German dishes are marvelous. You can get the best filet mignon on the lower Middle Penninsula. You can get a variety of Italian dishes (there's an Italian chef in the kitchen!). Fish dishes are tender and delicious. And you will always find something surprising on the menu. One night it was ostrich steaks!
The house salad dressing is scrumptious. The desserts are sinful.
But for me what pulls it all together is the wait staff. They remember their customers' preferences from visit to visit. They're attentive and solicitous without being insistent or in-your-face.
The prices are not low, but they are appropriate to the quality of the food and the exquisite nature of the cooking.
