I love the food and the friendly staff. The lamb with rice was phenomenal. I will be back!
Celiac and vegetarian friendly. Authentic flavors!
Very good! The chicken shwarma was perfectly cooked and well-seasoned, the hummus was creamy and subtle, and the dolmades were fresh, citrusy, and with just a touch of sweetness. This will probably become my go-to Middle Eastern take out. A little pricey, though.

It's a great place for delicious chicken kebob. Seasoned and juicy. The waitress was perfection. We had so much left we have dinner tonight. We shall return. Outdoor dining in the rear looked amazing as well. Great air conditioning in the main dining room.
Our waitress was very attentive. We had outdoor seating. The food was brought to us quickly it was fresh and delicious and flavorful! We were there around 2 o’clock in the afternoon and it was nice and quiet. We were seated right away. Will definitely be back.
I have been coming to this restaurant for years and I’m never disappointed. Always flavorful food and great service.
I did my wedding here and the food was loved by everyone. Amazing care and service from Maria. She made every thing go smoothly through the event. I could not thank her enough for making this event very special.
The only thing you need to order from this restaurant is the Petra Mix Grilled, a great combination of some authentic grilled Mediterranean meats, the lamb kufta was the highlight of the meal. The hummus is a must. The kufta kebab sandwich was good as well for a $9 entree. Next time, I would ask for more of the garlic sauce and some kind of hot sauce, which we did not get in our takeout order.
We ordered this to go through the online third party system, which got our order wrong when we showed up, I recommend calling the restaurant directly to avoid any confusion and the extra fees as well.
7/10, if the prices were a little cheaper this would be a 5 star review, however I would definitely go back.
We went for lunch on Saturday at 1. We sat inside which was pleasant and cool. The courtyard looked beautiful, though. The food was fresh and came out quickly. Highly recommend the Greek salad.
Beautiful, comfortable space, friendly staff, and easy access from downtown. Choice of indoor or large, covered outdoor dining space, We chose indoors, as it was nice and cool. We were greeted with large bottle of cold water for the table, warm basket of pita, and two dipping sauces (forgive my ignorance- I forgot to ask what they were). Our server, Pedro, was so friendly and attentive, and we didn't feel rushed on our leisurely late lunch date.
We ordered turkish coffees that were bold and smooth with a hint of cardamom, and I also got a tea, which was black tea with whole mint leaves. Perfect.
We went with the appetizer sampler- beautiful array of golden hummus, smokey babaganoush, thich and creamy yogurt, cool, tart grape leaves, crunchy falafel, and tender kibbe. Each item was delicately placed with a variety of toppings. My favorite was the green slightly spicy sauce drizzled on the hummus- gave a delightful kick to one of my already-favorite dishes.
For entrees I got the falafel sandwich with a side of pickles and fries. Falafel was crunchy- bread was soft- sauce was cool- chunks of cucumber- perfect. Husband went for the house special Petra mixed grill- three differently seasoned meats on skewers with two sides (he chose salad and more of that awesome hummus). The standout on this dish was the creamy garlic sauce that would be good for dipping anything- even plain celery- he asked for a second side of the sauce.
We were just in heaven at Petra- couldnt stop raving over every detail- so much love obviously goes into every single dish. One of the best meals I've had in a restaurant in a very long time.
My only disappointment was I ate too much to try the baklava cheesecake- I think we'll go back for coffee and desserts and to try a hookah for the first time- the outdoor space was really inviting- just a little too hot today.
Will definitely be back with our vegetarian daughter or friends or for a romantic night out. Thank you, Petra, for a wonderful afternoon.
Food was amazing! Only two servers on and ours still did a great job! I just can’t get over how good the food was! We had a group of 7- stuffed ourselves for a little more than $30 a person gratuity and drinks included. Will say parking is tight- may have to park a couple blocks down but Tampa city blocks are so small it’s not an issue. Will most definitely be back!
Yesterday, my family of 4 persons had lunch at this restaurant. We ordered the family menu, a large portion , the reasonable price. Thank you ,chef, for the delicious food and thank you very much ,Catherina, for your service!
I went there for hookah. It wasn’t bad. Like one review I read, it seems to burn fast. Coal service is good and frequent enough.
I liked the vibe of the place. Parking can be tricky if you don’t know about the next tip.
Tip: parking on the S Newport Avenue. On Google Maps, drop a pin on lot 106 at S Newport Avenue. Then you walk through the charming back gate (see picture).
I’m November 2022, I paid for the Hookah $20.80 ++. Fair price.
So that was our first time coming to this place and definitely it will be more. Tabular tasted very good; soup was very good but I wanted to be little bit it hotter. The fries was very good and we ordered more stuff but in general the restaurant was very nice clean the witters was very friendly and they smile. Just one thing I would love to see in the place to give five star the restroom if the hung the paper towel 🧻. But as I said over all its clean and the food was delicious and off course the most thing we all want reasonable prices.
