Talk about grease-pit food at its finest! This place is a throwback for me to the small NYC diners that served all-day meals!
These folks are gritty but welcoming and the service is great. The food is delicious as far as comfort food goes.
The layout and decor here is not what you come for; it's definitely the food! Try their chocolate chip cookies!
Great lunch. I was attending a seminar at The Marriott the past 2 days. Yesterday I ate at the Marriott hotel..Quite pricy, including the tip $12 for a bowlf soup and ice tea, with no refills offered and very slow service, barely made it back to class before it started. Today a friend introduced me to Tony's, right next door to the Marriott. I was amazed at how reasonable their lunch was..I had 2 generous sized, delicious crab cakes, a salad and a huge plate of fries...$6.95. I could only eat one of the crab cakes and my husband enjoyed the 2nd one later. The server was obviously very well trained, courteous, and the food was out in record time. My friends had various things on the menu with rave reviews. I will definitely return!
Diner & take out spot. Had an interesting breakfast with an old client here at Tony's this week. Nice little place serving diner type food. Little hard to find - it is on the back side of the building. There is a small sign right on the street. They must do a huge take out business to the surrounding Westshore district b/c while she took our order, the waitress kept yelling over her shoulder to the cook about having two lines on hold. I kept waiting to hear her tell him to kiss her grits - it was an "Alice" kind of experience. She brought coffee and forgot the cream. We had to scavenge some off a yet unbussed table. I drink decaf and I swear she mixed it up as I was flying all day long. But despite the frantic service, I did enjoy the meal. Food was good. I had a skillet; my dining companion had French toast and both were well prepared. So, I'd recommend Tony's for an inexpensive breakfast or lunch, but be prepared for some colorful service!
Tony's Westshore. Tony's is the best secret in the north section of Westshore. The waitresses, cooks and counter staff are excellent at providing customer service and getting the food right the first time. If you go to Tony's, be sure to try the fish & chips (on Fridays) and salad die hards will love the chicken salad plate. Tony's offers good food quick, and let's you enjoy the rest of your lunch hour.
Delicious food at reasonable prices! My office often orders in bulk from this place because they know how to do food right! My favorite is the Belgian waffle which I definitely recommend. The pancakes are huge and the French toast is also a delectable treat! I highly recommend, breakfast under 10 dollars is rare nowadays
Found this searching Google and I agree with other reviews; this is a hidden gem. The food was good. I had a ham and Swiss omelet with home fries. The omelet was good but the home fries were my favorite. I'd definitely come back.
A co worker told me about this place, I used GPS to find the restuarant I did end up parking too far by AAA but you can park by penthouse or extended stay and walk right over.
Soon as I entered the restaurant I was greeted and had my order taken immediately, The food took about 10 minutes to arrive.
They have Pepsi products for fountain drinks and separate fridge for can and bottle items.
The food cost $14 bucks but the quality of the burger was of a 5 guys or better.
They used a potato bun which had a good size and Beef patty was juicy and cooked all the way.
I really recommend anyone try especially if you work close by like myself. Also you can dine inside with plenty seating with great views.
I freaking love eating here and the service is one of a kind. They have a wonderful menu and you could eat here all day, the food is that good.
I stayed at the nearby Marriott and came here for breakfast one morning. We were instantly greeted and told to sit wherever we like. The staff/server were super friendly, and had our food out to us very quickly. It seems like their take-out was actually busier than the seated dining inside, so it's nice to know that was an option. The food was cooked exactly as we ordered, and goes beyond your average diner breakfast as you can tell everything is made in-house. We left spending less than $20 for a full breakfast and bottomless coffee for two. I live in North Carolina, and wish we had more diners/breakfast joints like Tony's! I would definitely return if I'm ever in the area again!
Delicious and large portions all at an amazing price. If you haven't had Tonys you are missing out
A bit difficult to find but a great reward for those who made it. Very friendly and great food.
When you first walk in you're not sure if you order at the counter or do they Ofer table service. You do both, if you want a to go order you go to the counter, and if you want to eat there, just seat yourself and they will come take your order. I took my sister here for breakfast and she ordered a veggie omelet and said it was perfect. I ordered typical breakfast, eggs over medium and the were cooked over medium, bacon was tasty. I'm picky about bacon, don't like fatty bacon and this bacon was very yummy but cooked just a little crisper then I like it but not by much. Potato's came with it and they were done perfect. And I save the best for last. The pancake is HUGE and better then that, the flavor was very very yummy. I highly recommend going to Tony's for breakfast. Next time I will have to try there lunch menu, I'm sure it will be just as good:) Almost forgot, the staff was very nice and friendly.
Little hard to find but well worth the find. Tony the owner took our order and was awesome!! Food was prepared well and delicious!!! Wait staff was attentive and helpful. We are from Iowa and had a great feel of home here. Thanks Tony and staff!! 5 out of 5 stars!!
Hard to find but delicious! I heard about Tony's from a co-worker. Great portion size and very clean restaurant. I ordered the turkey club and french fries. I also had a brownie larger than my hand (yet to eat that)!
