Came in during a slow lunch hour and the service was good. Greeted by a bartender slash waitress and ordered burgers and pizzas. It all came out in reasonable time and tasted great. Potato salad was not only very good but also a very welcome alternative to French fries. The atmosphere and seating situation could be improved but it was everything I wanted in an affordable Tampa sports bar.

The best chicken wings in Tampa by far. And all the bartenders I have met are very nice and give awesome service. Definetley one of my new favorite bars.

It was two of us and we ordered the $18 barbeque boneless chicken (20 pc). The chicken hit the spot of what we were looking for. It was well cooked, a little bit dry. Good flavor, did not need the blue cheese or ranch as the barbeque recipe held very well on its own. We also ordered a long island, which was well made and good strength. The inside is very nice and I enjoyed the crowd on a Monday night. Our server was clearly overworked, serving the entire place and bartending which was a shame to see. Although they tried claiming that boneless and bone in wings are priced the same And attempted to charge my card for $30 instead of menu $18 price while arguing with me until they realized either they were wrong or could no longer try to get $30. It could have been an honest mistake given they were overworked, but this gives insight on what one may experience here. I would definitely come back regardless as the price and quality of food and drink was quite a surprise, and bonus for being a very active Monday night joint.
My mom's currently in the hospital and hates the food, so we decided to try the anchor tavern! Amazing service and great food! My new "go to" spot on the island! Will be back soon! A+ service drinks and food!

Food was super delicious! I got the shrimp tacos and the pretzel bites, both amazing! I will definitely go back! Nice spot!
Late night Davis Islands hidden secret... they serve very late and the food is actually well prepared and most tasty! Bartender sometimes is found tending bar at another DI bar ... you're not seeing things🙃
Music was VERY loud. Chicken sandwich was VERY dry. Otherwise, we had a nice meal there.
Rich and Morgan send a great bar at late night times. Stopped in and got some french fries and a couple drinks. The pizza looks great and the people eating it certainly weren't complaining. I'd highly recommend if you're looking for a late night car. You check out the anchor bar. Good sports bar. They were replaying the Lightning ⚡ game late night so that if you missed it, you could rewatch them beating the bruins! Great place to stop in anytime you're on Davis Island. You couldn't go wrong with this place.
My family was on Davis Island to visit the hospital, so we stopped by for dinner and it was delicious, the gentleman who was the bartender was also our server was awesome! The only setback was my wife doesn't care for the bar scene recommended we should sit outside and there were mosquitoes.
Cool local little tavern on Davis Islands; the kind of place you wish you had in your own neighborhoods...all the time.
Nice beer selection,I like the wings here , really good,bartender wasn't attentive.
Forgot to mention the coleslaw was not good ,it wasn't flavor,it needs to figure out a new recipe.
