One of, if not the oldest family owned Pizzeria's in Tampa. Been going here since 1986 and haven't found a better tasting pizza to date. Real nice folks as well.
This was our first time here. The atmosphere was so nice and aesthetic. We were a party of about 12 and they were super quick with our food. We ordered pizza, and the chicken parmigiana with spaghetti. The “small” pizza was basically a large and the chicken parmigiana was amazing. I’ve eaten the chicken parm at other Italian restaurants and they don’t compare to this one. The chicken was so flavorful and the sauce was so good. I give it an 11/10.
Really great experience! We arrived about 30 minutes before closing and they were kind to us and let us order take-out. There are nice spots to sit at, and the plant decor is really pretty. We ordered a lot of food (about 5 orders) and it only took 25 minutes. The food was DELICIOUS, and I cannot recommend this place enough, me and my family will definitely be returning.
My wife and I stopped in after finding them in a google search. The owners were very nice, and really great to chat with. The food was fantastic, even the small pizza is big enough for several people. The garlic knots were fresh out of the oven, fluffy, and tasted great. Slathered well in garlic butter. Overall, an a great experience! And accompanied by a singing chef ;)
My family has gone to Alfonso’s for as long as I can remember (there being a blockbuster next door) and it is always a treat. This pizza is to die for and the staff is very friendly. We ❤️ Alfonso’s sooo much!!
If I could give this place a million stars I would. The owners are so cool, down to earth and just overall great people. We first found this restaurant when we moved to the area a month or so ago and now live 45 minutes away and still make the drive because that's just how great the pizza is. I'm Italian and lived in Italy for a couple years, so my standards for pizza are very high 😂 and it surpasses all my expectations. Great place, great ownership, great food, just overall great.
My hubby and I have become fans of Alfonso's. Following a suggestion made by Richard Gonzmart, we tried the restaurant. We waited for 35 minutes for the restaurant to open.
It is intimate, with seating for about 2 dozen. The casual decor creates a comfortable atmosphere and the owners treat you like family. They take pride in every aspect of their business - the menu, the meal presentation, and cleanliness is of utmost importance.
The Garlic Knots are the kind you continue to think about and look forward to your next order as soon as possible. They are the size of large softballs, tender, and smothered in garlic butter and parmesan cheese. As an added treat, they are served with delicious sauce.
We enjoyed a Greek salad, pizza slices (fantastic sausage and fresh mushrooms), and a sausage, onion, and green pepper Hero Sandwich.
Drop by to meet your family in your new home away from home. They enjoy meeting more relatives.
The food was worth the wait!!
This is a nice pizza place. I like the nice crust, good sauce and fresh mushrooms. My friend likes ham on pizza here. They made the fresh pizza for a nice dinner and gave us boxes for leftovers.
The best hidden gem in all of Tampa bay! The pizza, the GARLIC KNOTS, the hospitality is all 10/10. Absolutely delicious and the sweetest owners ever!
