This is a locally owned restaurant. Small, intimate, with a varied menu including Southern fusion, sushi, and other eclectic food. The Shimi Bowl is delicious, the Po Boy and Cioppino sandwiches are tasty. The wine and beer selections are very reasonable in price. They have specials that you should ask about. This is not a trendy upscale place but it serves well made food and is a great neighborhood bistro

A new favorite. We ate at Reservations for Valentine's dinner and were beyond pleased with the service, the quality of ingredients, and taste. The staff was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The Valentine's menu was a five course offering with selections available from each category. My husband started with the crabcake And I had sashimi tuna. Both were exceptional. The crabcake featured delicious lump crab with zero breadcrumbs or filler, a dollop of lightly seasoned sauce on top which did not overwhelm the taste of the crabmeat. The tuna was served with soy, wasabi, and fresh herbs on the side and was the best and freshest I've had in ages. Next we each ordered a cheese plate featuring romano parmigiano and a port wine derby cheese with a light drizzle of fresh honey. The cheese portion was perfect and served at the appropriate temperature. We then had arugula salads with a delicious vinaigrette, topped with fresh sweet strawberries and a paper thin slices of parmigiano. For the main course we had beef filet cooked to order, to perfection, and served with risotto and mushrooms. To finish we had tiramisu. It was delicious, featherlight and not overly sweetened. Cofee was served in individual french presses with fresh cream and sugar. We found out from the staff that Reservations is now open on Friday and Saturday nights, featuring a new dinner menu and sushi. Having tried a few pieces of the sushi, I am excited to return for more. They are also open daily for lunch and have some of the best sandwiches in Tampa. My favorite is the caprese and my husband loves the buffalo chicken. This was our first dinner visit and we were impressed to say the least!
Our first experience with Reservations Gourmet To Go was excellent. The Caesar salad was great - crisp lettuce, fresh Parmesan, flavorful dressing and a good size for a couple to split. The Hero was very good and the portabella sandwich was amazing. Fresh, good food at reasonable prices. We will definitely be back.
Gourmet Food Without the Price Tag. One of our favorite places to eat. The worst thing about this place is having to make up your mind as to what you will get. Their sandwiches are the best around and their take home entrees really make it easy to get a great home-cooked meal at home without having to make the mess in the kitchen.

After Dark!. You are missing out if this is not in your rotation for a Saturday night dinner. The food far exceeded our expectations and bring your own bottle of wine with no cork fee! We ordered 3 of their "Small Plates" since we wanted to try a few of their offerings and they all were absolutely excellent. Even the Semolina bread they bring out was hot, fresh, and crispy. Served with a chive butter I believe.
We first ordered the Lump Crab and Avocado. It was full of crab and chunks of avocado, served in a raddichio shell. The flavors were very well balanced with sweet crab, savory avocado, a tart lime vinaigrette and the peppery arugula.
The grilled Jumbo Sea Scallops were seared to perfection, fresh and full of flavor. Served over a bit of risotto and topped with an asparagus spear. We really enjoyed the balance of flavor in this dish as well. At $13 I think I would have liked to see 3 scallops instead of 2 and another asparagus spear, but nonetheless I would order this again for sure.
3rd dish was the Arancini. Another fantastic choice. Creamy risotto and mozzarella rolled into balls, lightly breaded and fried and served in the most wonderful marinara sauce. (I expect made in house). Overall, this was a great value and a delicious meal. The ambiance is ok, but frankly Im more concerned about the food and service when I go out to eat and this was one of the best meals I have had in Seminole Heights.

Really good food. This take-home and small eat-in restaurant is one of my favorites. I pick up a dinner for two from them at least once a week. The Chicken Rustica and meat loaf are two of my favorite dishes. Each dinner includes a big salad and a side dish ( I ususally get the green bean, carrot and potato mix). When I heat up the chicken in my oven, my house smells like a restaurant in Tuscany. Just heavenly. The lunch sandwiches are big enough for two people - the hot meatball is a taste treat and my item of choice. Also, they have the best, I mean the best, carrot cake I have ever tasted.

You need to be paying attention or you will miss it, and you definitely do not want to pass up the house of tastiness . My friend insisted we go here, he has been going for years and raved about it all morning. Now being the sandwich lover that I am I typically look for the type of sandwich I have never had before I go to a “default” at your typical sandwich shop. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the Chicken Picatta Salad sandwich and was sold before looking at anything else on the well written menu. For only $6 I do not know where else you can find the quality of flavor combinations that this sandwich came with. Dinner last night was like one of those amazing first dates where everything goes just right and you don’t want the evening to end. I woke up today with butterflies in my stomach as I reminisced about every delicious detail. My spectacular date last night was with Reservations Gourmet-To-Go which is located in the eclectic neighborhood of Seminole Heights. Owned by Anthony and Elke Catania, it is a hidden gem that serves exquisite dishes made with local ingredients. I first learned about Reservations about two years ago when my web-designer told me how fantastic they were and suggested I check them out as soon as possible. Since they are open Monday through Friday from 11:30 am until 6 pm, it was hard for me to get over there with my restricted hour lunch and working until 5 pm. Eating at the Olde Heights Bistro was a truly life-affirming experience. The sushi was phenomenal, the service impeccable, the general atmosphere - good as it gets. I give my compliments to the chef/owner, the legendary sushi master, lovely Lauren behind the bar, and the friendly guests we shared the bar with. 10/10 would recommend. First of all. The waiter is amazing, he made sure you got what you ordered and will check up on you and make you feel welcomed.
The food. I ordered two platters of sushi. Both very delicious and savoury, I personally recommend using the soy sauce with reduced sodium. Although my complaints are towards this fish with pearly white flesh, it was odd tasting and chewy.
Dessert. I had a vanilla honey custard with strawberries and it was absolutely amazing. The sweetest of the custard and honey along with the tartness of the strawberry had a very complementary taste which made for an amazing dish.
Overall, I highly recommend going here especially for special occasions. The sushi is great and along with the desserts. I will certainly be back.

I had ordered the Spicy Tuna roll and the
Dynamite roll and they were so good we also ended up ordering the Tampa Lightning Roll which was like a combination of both the best parts of the other two!
We went to Olde Heights Bistró because the reviews were so great and the reviewers were right— it’s absolutely delicious food in a sweet, cozy atmosphere. We tried the spicy tuna sushi for an app. It stood out from the standard sushi fare. The chef knows to take something that everyone does and just make it better. We ordered the filet with the risotto and the ravioli. Both were excellent. It was the Japanese custard that took the cake though.
Service was great. The kitchen really cares about the food!!
We stumbled here on a Saturday night that was an empty restaurant. We had the run of he place and it was magical. I'm a foodie that likes to cook so it was fun to ask questions and get odd fixings. I had Japanese curry for the first day time!! Maybe convince them into a Japanese brunch :) small venue, quality food, great service.

this food is absolutely amazing. the chef is so kind and friendly. i ordered their sushi and it was delicious with so many options! i would recommend going here because of the large variety of options and just the environment itself is great. the one bad side is that they do have limited hours!
Tiny little place, staff is super friendly and food is great. They source their food locally every day and even grow some themselves. Also one of the owners GIANT sweet pitbull hangs around which is a huge bonus for me!
This place is a hidden gem near downtown Tampa. Quite unassuming, the simple exterior hides an very clean and neat minimalist bistro where Mr. Shima cooked me the best Japanese curry I've ever tasted - perfectly spicy and thick, with a sunny side egg, crispy chicken and rice. Will come back for sure!!!
