Eats! American Grill was a hit for us and really is a must for anyone that craves comfort food. Located in South Tampa, Eats! American Grill has one of the most interesting menus around and suggest that you go very hungry because the portions are huge. . Eats! American Grill is located in a small building on South Dale Mabry and we didn’t have trouble finding the place. We went in through the outside patio area and through a back door, which really seems like the main entrance since its right off the larger paring area.

One of my favorites!. My husband and I have been visiting Eats for the past year and everytime we leave with a smile on our faces. The food never disappoints! Whether its the ribs(best I've ever tasted), the burgers (have to try the 50/50), or the Walnut Salmon (marinated perfectly), the cooks perfect the dish everytime we order. The chips and dip are the perfect start to our meal and the inexpenive drinks make you want to keep drinking. We normally go on Fridays and try to sit at the bar, because the bartender Danny always gives us great service. He knows what we want to drink, never leaves us with an empty drink and generally makes us feel wanted, which these days is refreshing, because it seems like most servers/bartenders make you feel like they are doing you a favor by waiting on you. We have sat in the dining rooms a few times and the service there was good too. If you haven't been to Eats yet, you are missing out. They are often on Groupon as well which makes the inexpensive meal, even more cheaper.
Good service,good food. The onion rings are huge and tasty. The complimentary chips are great. All of our entrees were fantastic.

The Eating at Eats!. Ok, I've visited this place several times now and have had the opportunity to taste a variety of things. Let's get the 'didn't like' parts out of the way first. Didn't like the Beef on Weck, it was waaayyy too salty and I even like salty. But that was just overpoweringly salty. Didn't like their Philly Cheesesteak either, not good in many ways including tasteless and bland with burnt bits and soggy bun. OK, so they have a couple missteps or maybe the chef had a bad day. What do they do right? Several things! Like their basket of complimentary homemade chips. Like the decor, very modern, clean and comfortable. Their entree salads are quite tasty, ample and satisfying. Their cheeseburger is top notch and I'd go back for that easily. The fried pickles app is delicious! Several tasty things for sure on this menu and service is always polite and right there when you need them. But where do they excel? Well, last night, I was in a rush and ordered their babyback ribs for takeout, ran in, ran out. They were prompt with my order, pleasant and professional to deal with and all around fast. Kudos just for that! But, oh yeah, how are the ribs? AMAZING. Fall off the bone, super meaty, delicious. Some of the best ribs in Tampa in my book. Check this place out if you have a hankering for ribs or a decent burger for sure. There may be a few items they need to tweak on their menu, but there's a lot of good food there too. I'll eat at Eats!
Classic EATS!!. Love this place. I have never NOT had a good meal at Eats! My fave thing to get is the 8oz sirloin; it comes with two sides and is just so good. Once you are seated, they bring out house made potato chips with dipping sauce for you to enjoy. I have also tried their Wisconsin Beer Cheese Soup, Grilled Chicken platter (also with two sides), and fried green tomatoes. The only thing that was okay but not spectacular to me was their Cobb salad-it wasn't bad, but unmemorable really. The atmosphere is great here. I've been five or six times but it seems as though a lot of people are regulars there. I like it.
Saw this on heat seekers and had to give it a try. Pineapple fritters were great, definitely something different from the typical conch fritter listed on every other FL restaurant menu. Bite me back shrimp was also amazing, sauce had great flavor. Had to try the Midwest BLT after seeing it on the show. One of the best BLTs ever!!! Yes it is spicy, but not nearly what they make it out to be on the show. The sauce is hot but also has tons of flavor!!! I hope I get the chance to come back and have it again! Service was excellent too.

Cheez Whiz Philly vs Non Cheez Whiz Philly. First of all, I'm from Philly and have been looking for a restaurant that serves a true Philly with Cheez Whiz. So we ventured into EATS this past weekend with a party of four. It was busy, which to me is a good thing. I read a few of their reviews looking for some Philly feedback. Mr. Ramos didn't like the Philly. So I didn't know what to expect. Well, of our party of four, I ordered the Traditional Philly with Cheez Whiz served on a Amoroso Roll. One of my buddies ordered what a call anything but a true Philly with provolone, green peppers, onions on a Amoroso roll. Most food bloggers or foodies really don't know what a Amoroso roll is, but being from Philly, it better be the real thing. Fortunately, IT WAS. Most foodies think a Hogie or French Roll is a Amoroso.......I was so pleased. After the first bite, I felt like I was back at home. They knocked it out of the park. My buddy gave me two thumbs up on his Florida Philly, lol! I had to taste it and it was fantastic, but I prefer the Cheez Whiz Philly. The other two people in our party had salads (a salmon and Chicken Caesar). You could tell the ingredients were fresh and made to order....they loved them. To our surprise, our server, Johnathan, told us all the dressings were made in the restaurant. The Buttermilk Ranch was delicious and let me tell you about the Caesar Dressing...Fantastic!!! My buddy didn't like my Philly as much as he liked his. He told me that he had never had a Philly Cheese-steak with Cheez Whiz and he would have to get used to it. The great thing about EATS, if you don't want Cheez Whiz, they can make you a Philly just like everyone else. Thank you EATS and thank Johnathan for a great experience. Mr. Ramos, I think you got this wrong..go back and try a Philly the way you want it made. Oh, the pineapple upside down cake was delicious. A must try! We highly recommend.
Friendly. Since it is about 5 minutes from my office I go there at least once or twice a month and have always enjoyed the food and the service. I booked my office x'mas luncheon there (9 people) and we all had a wonderful time.
I recommend the Philly, Burger, Chicken sandwich or any of their salads... The complimentary chips are hot and tasty.
I is nice to see the owner cooking behind the grill and the service is attentive and friendly.
Beware of the homemade hot sauce it is a scorcher but fantastic!!
OK Easts. Overall, I would give this restaurant a Like because I think that management really cares as they are always walking around seeing how you are. My last visit was my worst. They were very busy and we got the last table by the door. We were next to a very large party that had several kids and I didn't realize how loud it got in there. The kids were so loud that I could not even hear by dinner companion (not necessarily their fault). The female server was very nice, but also very overwhelmed. She forgot just about every item we asked for because she had too many tables. At one point, I had to get up and walk to the kitchen to get what I needed and she said sorry after we asked twice. When the bill came it was wrong and she had to fix it. I shouldn't have to work that hard to enjoy my dinner. Perhaps, I will just stick to a less croweded lunch where we can get better service and it be less noisy.
Perfect American Food. I've only been to Eats! once (so far), but the fried green tomatoes were perfection. The food was so good that all of my friends at the table passed our plates around so we could munch on everything. Yum!
Always great food and drinks specials daily. The service staff is attentive to keeping the customer’s satisfied. This is a good place to meet friends for a happy hour drink at the bar or bring the family for a meal. The majority of the parking is located behind the restaurant with easy access to the building.
When we first got into town we were tired and not up for anything fancy, we just wanted somewhere casual and basic. We randomly chose a restaurant off Google and ended up here. It was perfect. Obviously a locals spot, it was pretty busy. Service was excellent, (even though he was also tending to a full bar!) and food was good. ( I believe our servers name was Eddy?) Nothing crazy amazing or fancy but it came out hot and satisfying. The garlic fries were our favorite. Overall a great little spot!!
Great food and cold beer. It can get loud and occasionally service has been a little slow. Overall, nice place to relax, enjoy the food, and the atmosphere. There is also a Groupon available for Eats!
I went here on the recommendation of a friend, and I'm glad I did! This is a mom and pop place for sure and the food is amazing. I ordered the Salmon with Jalapeno Mac and cheese and was blown away. Everything tasted fresh and was flavorful and well seasoned! Also they give every table a basket of complimentary homemade chips with a ranch like dipping sauce. I definitely recommend! Also, They do have a bar!
For dining, great food, friendly staff. And if u just want to go sit at the bar and watch the game, or games, they have multiple TVs and always have the games on. 2 for 1 wells and select beers. Awesome spot.
Place is a worn out but grub was awesome!!!! Especially freshly made chips!!!! Waitress was Working solo but it worked out jus fine!!! We'll be back
Great customer service, right on top of our order and the food was great. Plenty of TVs inside, not a ton of space but that was ok.
Awesome service, the waitresses are always super friendly. 2 for 1 drafts the whole day long. All of the food we have tried has been great. Lots of TVs to watch sports. Everything is reasonably priced. Homemade potato chips with a great dipping sauce. You really can't ask for much more.
The food here is all homemade and delicious and the service is excellent. This place has a cheers vibe... where everybody knows your name! People bring their families here for dinner, but people also hang out at the bar. Love everything I've tried on the menu, seriously so good from wings and apps, salads, to chicken sandwiches, yum. Interior decor is nothing fancy, this is just a good down to earth local place.
I eat out frequently, and this is definitely my favorite place! Their ribs are seriously phenomenal. Not to mention their homemade potato chips are amazing too. The friendly staff just tops this place off. They remember me, and my son! Makes me feel special ;)
