My boys have wanted to come back everyday of their vacation. The scavenger hunt is beyond amazing. Family run business. Great ice cream! My favorite it POT HOLE (rich & chocolatey), sister in laws is KEY LIME PIE, brothers is BLACK CHERRY., nieces is SUPERMAN.
Updating my review because the owner saw my past review and switched from styrofoam to more sustainable cups the next day!! :) I'll definitely be back again; there were several new flavors so selections are rotated regularly as well which is great!
(Past review) Cute shop and nice selection of flavors including two different brands. Lower prices than Scoops 22 down the street. Ashby's Lemon cheesecake flavor is amazing. Only gave 4 instead of 5 because I wish they had a more sustainable cup (instead of styrofoam). Maybe a switch can be made in the future. :) Nice to have adjoining to the pizza shop for families.
Cute little shop! Lots of trinkets for engaging kids' minds and an escape room-style hunt for $100 hidden in the shop. Great idea but the quality of ice cream is not great. It seemed to be more water content. I hope to see a creamier ice cream on our next visit. We will be back, I loved the concept!
Delicious hard scoop ice cream in Northport. They have traditional flavors and fun local Michigan flavors too. The staff is friendly and if you’re lucky or able to crack the code, you can keep the $100 bill if you’re able to find it.
A charming little ice cream shop with options for just about everyone. The rates are quite affordable and the portions are generous! This shop also has the unique option of searching for a hidden $100 bill in the shop. You may be foolish enough to think that it will be easy to find, but I assure you that it is cleverly hidden. Even with assistance from the shop owner we were foiled in our efforts, but it makes for an entertaining time and amused us that six adults looking at the same time were unable to locate the hidden spot. However the challenge was fun and I absolutely recommend everyone stop in and give it a go!
Fun place, will definitely bring kids back when we’re in the area (we are from out of town). The ice cream was great, the owner is super nice, and the kids absolutely loved the scavenger hunt. Well truthfully… we all had fun looking for the $100 😬 definitely worth visiting

Amazing experience at Norm and Irv’s. The owner is incredible and so patient with kids, ice cream is wonderful. We have been going to another ice cream place there for 30 years…Norm and Irv’s changed that. We now have a new place and get ice cream multiple times when we are vacationing. The location is perfect, the portion sizes and prices are just right and the experience is all around wonderful!
This place was amazing! The non-dairy black cherry was so creamy and good, you would've never known it was dairy free. It's great to have an option besides sorbet for those who can't have lactose!
Met the owner of Norm’s and Irv’s ice cream shop in Suttons Bay Michigan. A great little ice cream shop. It’s keeping the girls busy with a game they have. There’s a scavenger hunt for a $100 bill that you can keep if you find. Great way to pass time and enjoy an ice cream!
