I don't normally post reviews online, but felt the obligation to do so. We hosted a party at a rented house on the beach in Stinson in August for a few dozen people. Having a strong desire to actually hang out with our guests, we searched for a caterer that used the highest quality ingredients for our discerning guests. Rachel & Lee at The Lunch Box simply nailed it. The fresh halibut cerviche, pulled pork sandwiches, salads and oysters (mignonette!) on the half shell were amazing. And though we selected each of these items for eight to ten people (we had 26 adults and 15 kids), there was so much food left over that everyone took a go-box home. They prepped and cleaned everything offsite, and served/cooked onsite. You wouldn't have even known they were there, though. We hope to have an annual family/friends reunion at Stinson if possible, and if we do The Lunch Box will 100% be our caterer of choice. Thanks Rachel & Lee!
This place is an eclectic mix of hipster and beachy and was pretty busy when we went. That said, their Po'boy Salmon sandwich was amazing and they had a big assortment of snacks and drinks to compliment their menu. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area for lunch and want to picnic somewhere.
A must stop lunch spot for anyone making their way along the 1. Great selection of unique deli items including empanadas, quiche, sandwiches and a wide variety of deli salads from quinoa to pasta sald. There is a nice park across the parking lot for outside dining. If you want a nice break bring checkers or chess pieces as the tables have built in boards.
