definitely recommend taking the tour because you go inside the oldest buildings on the property. still a great place to walk around without the tour. the cafe on the grounds isn’t bad, just a lil flavorless
Very good experience. I went the on July 4th. I had an enjoyable time with friends. We tasted the lemon pie, the apple pie and the ice-cream made following the old fashion recipe for lady wearing costumes from the 18th century. We marched in the parade. We went to the museum. And theater etc. many things to do in one place.
Very educational experience. I learned so much. It’s amazing to hear about oystering and see the historical buildings still standing.
Very cute experience for kids and adults. Our tour guide was very patient and nice and knowledgeable. The kids enjoyed it! I learned some things about Staten Island I didn't know so that was cool too! The indoor museum has some interesting stuff on display and they had a scavenger hunt for the kids while we waited for our scheduled tour time so that was fun for the kids. It was a beautiful day out and we ate at Main Street Cafe which was very nice also. Staff was nice. Food was good. Took awhile to get our food tho. Luckily there's outside picnic tables on a private blocked off road so the kids were able to run around while we waited.
Lots of History here plus so many nice events during the summer are held on the grounds. There is a coffee shop that has sandwiches deserts coffee teas all so good. There is an Ice Cream Cafe also that has delicious flavors. Go and visit Spend a few hours and just enjoy this tiny village.
It was closed but we had a private tour, no worries for social distancing and the grounds are fantastic. Like being taken back in time
Always, a Great time at Historical Richmondtown !!! Great sights and times and the best ice-cream at Eggers ice cream parlor.
Its a nice place to visit. I wish all the houses were available for exploring. We only visited the museum.
