(Update) I was unsure about the food being halal, but spoke to the owner and he ensured me that all meat is halal. Bacon here, for example, is halal turkey bacon, etc.

(Original) I don't think I'm going to say anything that hasn't been said before. As a restaurant owner myself (Nina's Desi Kitchen), I could see how well this team worked together. Even during evening rush hour, they kept their cool. The gentleman who took our order told me that our food should be ready soon, thinking that we might think it's late. But, I could see them work and it wasn't like they were slacking, so we obviously didn't mind the wait. Took about 20 minutes, and was well worth it. Food was really good. Halal food, and this good, really was a great end to a long day. We live far, otherwise I would have been a frequent. Between 3 adults and a kid, we spent about $80, which I'd consider good for a filling dinner, that we forced ourselves to finish.
Probably not the best Dunner/Shawarma out there, but the Falafel, Hummus, and Pita bread are well worth the trip. (Not sure about the cost, though, at over $1 per Pita.)
The meat tends to be over-spiced/salted, and a couple of times was also dry (over-grilled); which might be a good thing, considering the hummus is usually under-salted.
All and all, it's still a very good choice for those looking for a decent meal of this style.
The best falafel and Arabic food in Stamford. I finally found authentic Hummus and Arabic Shawarma. Their food is consistently fresh and tasty. No wonder they’re very busy. Not to mention their friendly and energetic staff. It’s our go to place when we visit from NY. I wish there was a Layla’s in NY. Maybe soon InshaAllah 🤞🏼
Layla's is a mainstay - Always FRESH and wonderfully prepared! Haven't been there in awhile, it was great to be back there last night! This was my falafel salad.
Layla’s not only has excellent food, but really great people working there. We ordered from a delivery service, but they dropped the ball in delivering, so the restaurant kept the order for us (after an hour of sitting there) and then reheated the food for us once we could get there. I think they were officially closed at this point too!! Thank you!

The food is freaking delicious here and the service is one of a kind. They have a great menu selection and their prices are so freaking reasonable too.
