Delicious and authentic food and atmosphere represent this wonderful Mexican restaurant. We dropped in for a bite to eat and I enjoyed the authentic feel of the place. The food was very tasty and delightful. The service, however, was much to be desired. It took several minutes before we even got acknowledged and then the waitress didn't check up on us hardly at all through the course of our visit. We actually had to ask the front desk hostess for our check and a box. Would go back again, merely because of the food.
#JoeVerasMexicanFiestaurant does what most Mexican restaurants do and give you chips and salsa, which I’m ok to skip, but since they were there I enjoyed them. They do a good salsa, that has some kick. I ordered the lunch special. Half Portion Of El Bandido served with a homemade sweet Anaheim Chile Relleno, stuffed with Monterrey Cheese, smothered with green Chile sauce, topped with Lettuce, Sour cream, and fresh Guacamole. It was really tasty and I took half of it home to eat later. Their #GreenSauce is a bit more spicy then most verde sauces, so I was happy. The special was covered in melted cheese, which really makes this cheese freak squeal with delight. I got a tasty beverage to enjoy with my meal a #RaspberryMargarita always nice to find a restaurant that serves alcohol in Utah County. It even had the requisite sign on the door saying it was a restaurant and not a bar. Lol
My family had a planning meeting at this restaurant for my birth mother's funeral services. The service was very prompt quality of the food absolutely amazing. The wait staff made sure to get our orders correct by double-checking. They also made sure that we had enough of the fresh chips and salsa. The only issue I have with this restaurant is there's not always enough parking. The prices are very reasonable. A great place for a quick bite to eat. Or take a date or like me if you have to plan a major event this is the place to do it. Our family had come there for generations grandparents on my dad's side than my birth mom and dad took me. I hope to someday be able to take someone very special when I find them.
I thought the food was pretty good. The service was a little slow. We were the only ones in the restaurant, and it took quite a while for our food to come. Then afterward, it took a really long time to get our bill. Luckily, we weren't in a hurry. If you don't have a lot of time, I would let your server know ahead of time. I got the beef fajitas for one. You get a lot of food. You could share it if you want to. I like the leftovers for lunch the next day. They were really good. The rice is not your typical rice. I think it was lime flavored. Pretty good. Different. My husband got the chili Verde burrito. He really liked it. Salsa was pretty good. Chips were ok. My husband liked them more. This was my first time. Overall we liked it. We'd go again.
I have been to Joe's a few times now. They seem to be pretty reliable on what they offer. Really love their light, thin, and crispy chips. Their salsa is a great level of heat and taste. Not too spicy, not too bland. I got the steak and enchilada meal which was really good. The steak was surprisingly tender and tasty. I'm glad I got it! I'm not generally a five star recommender because I want to leave room for improvement. (You never know when a place will do something unrequested that nonetheless delights.)
Great place to eat Mexican food! The side salsa and chips they give at the beginning was delicious and not spicy! Parking is a bit difficult to find but atmosphere is great!
Food was great. The waiter was funny.
I got the fajitas and the chicken was cooked right. The flour tortillas were good and not too thick. The corn tortillas were pretty broken, so I wouldn't recommend the corn tortillas.
The tres combo appetizer was very good.
I would get the taquitos if I went again.
The quesadilla was pretty good. Everyone loves the jalapeno poppers.
So good! I got the taco salad which came in a fried tortilla. It was SO GOOD. my friend got the carne asada burrito and liked it
The food was fresh and amazing! The staff got hit with a conference that had just let out and weren't aware of. They did a great job at seating people and getting them taken care of. The staff was friendly and it was a great atmosphere.
Chile Verde burrito (pictured) was good. We also ordered the fajita burrito, a little dry, would recommend something that comes smothered. Chips and salsa were great. Good service
