I love the Gordon Biersch chain of restaurants/bars. This by far is not one of their best locations, but you do need to realize this place is in an airport. My recommendation is to bypass the wait staff & sit at the bar. If you treat the bartender with some respect (as you should), then I found him to be more than pleasant, with attentive service of both my drinks & food. After all, your options are pretty limited for "burning time" before your next flight. Make the best of it & if you ever plan on coming back again, then don't forget to tip - believe me it helps.
I had a horrible flight, found out I had to stay the night in the San Francisco airport, and stumble onto this place. Everybody was terrific. My waiter in particular, who has been on his feet for hours, is so kind. His name is @Mitch - so Gordon Biersch please take notice of this nice and hard working fellow!
I have a Caesar salad with chicken, tasty, two beers, lovely.
It's exactly what I would expect from an airport bar. The location was very convenient. The bloody Mary was nice and zesty and the pulled pork sandwich was filling. They were hit with a rush of people when I got there but still got my food in a timely manner. Just what I needed to fill me up on my layover after my flight from Chicago. I asked what beers the bartended recommended and he immediately poured me samples of the ones I was considering.
