We secured the banquet room for a grand birthday party with 45 guests, and it was thoroughly wonderful! The management attended to very detail, even some we hadn't specified, and was unfailing;y attentive and helpful throughout, from the planning to the execution. Of course we settled on Arusuvai for the food, and we were not disappointed. The great variety of appetizers, main courses, vegetarian and meat dishes, was a treat. The chefs know how to present authentic Indian food that is intensely flavorful but doesn't overwhelm with excessive heat. We heartily recommend Arusuvai!
I have been here twice now and have never been disappointed! The food is so fresh and flavorful-it is a wonderful experience! The waitstaff are so kind and attentive, and the prices are really reasonable. We will be coming back again and again!
Best Indian food I’ve had in my life! I cannot rave enough about it! I’ve been here many times and I have meant to write a great review! From the pleasant atmosphere while coming in, to being seated and then waiting to be served the best Indian food in town…hands down worth waiting for and diving into! Mouth watering food that will leave you coming back to this place again and again many times in the future! :) bring your family and friends to try this new experience because you won’t regret it! Worth a Google! :) Do it!
Delicious South Indian food, decent size portions. Their dosas are HUGE!
Lunch buffets on weekends served on banana leaf.
Oh and the traditional filter coffee from southern India was amazing 😋
I did not have high expectations going into this place. Thought it would be like 50 other Indian places in NJ. And Boy was I wrong.
Ordered Masala crab, pepper chicken, Chicken Biryani, Ceylon parotta and Malabar parotta.
The Masala Crab, man o man, the yummiest crab curry I have tasted. It comes with a lot of gravy. It's expensive but it's worth every penny. The gravy is so flavorful with a distinct crab kick. The crab meat is well cooked and delicious. I could give 5 stars only for this dish.
The pepper chicken is a cherry to a wonderful sundae on top of a regular sundae called the Masala crab.
Sadly, the Biryani lacks flavour and Malabar parotta lacks the distinct flakiness, Both of them are a let down to an otherwise spotless dinner.
The ambience is traditional South Indian, which is rare and the service is good. Overall, a must visit.
Lunch & Veg review...
Food was just great, lovely taste. Staff was friendly. We ordered Rasam, Malabar Parrotta, Kofta, Idlyappam with Korma & Kuli Paniyaram. Malai Kofta was outstanding.
Restaurant was clean, including restrooms.
There's street parking available.
Good Indian food. Loved the flavors. We ordered the fish fry which was excellent. Ordered parota and mutton curry which was good. Also ordered the chicken egg kottu parota and the Hyderabadi dum biryani. Everything tasted good. Service was decent didn't have to wait too long. Recommend this place for good Tamil Nadu style food.
The traditional banana leaf meal experience was very good. It's best to go early and enjoy the food.
