Fun...crazy...busy...loud atmosphere...I couldn't believe the line outside the door before they opened at 5....I was super happy that we got there early & were first in line! The wait staff... particularly Jake...was amazing! In a place that busy and fast paced...he was always there checking on us...was personable and made us feel like we were his only customers. Everyone was amazing....the food was amazing....I recommend the gnocchi appetizer...that should be on the dinner menu....DELISH!!! I'd never even been to Somerville before...but I suggest if you're in the area...GO HERE...and get there early so you get a good spot in line...

It has a relaxed atmosphere and the staff was great. I have a good allergy and the staff was really accommodating and knowledgeable about what I could eat. The food was fantastic. The chicken was delicious, full of flavor and so moist.
I'd never been there before but the staff was absolutely wonderful. My friend and I got the fried plantains, buffalo brussel sprouts and gnocchi, and then jumbalya for dinner. Everything was perfect and had a great kick for those who like spice. The location felt small and the tables were small but id go again in a heartbeat
While visiting from out of town, I came across Highland Kitchen on Google. I was a little unsure going in, but I ended up being extremely impressed with the whole experience. The service was professional and helpful. The food was amazing. I ordered the pretzel, half chicken, and fries and all three were served hot. They were all delicious. I definitely recommend Highland Kitchen to anyone looking for tasty food in a relaxed atmosphere.
Had a lovely dinner and drinks here with a friend, what a great neighborhood restaurant! The service was wonderful, felt taken care of and never rushed. Drinks and food arrived quickly. Loved the Somerville Sunburn cocktail, and also enjoyed my food - homemade potato chips and caramelized onion dip, short rib gnocchi and a hot fudge brownie sundae. Will return :)
Such a nice place! Everyone one very friendly and the food is always great, like your mom would cook. Try the wheat cream, if you’ll be there and wear something warm, since all the sitting is only outside.
Great spot with an awesome atmosphere. Great drinks. Hope to try the food next time. Feels like home with some super cool vintage signs and memorabilia. Highly recommend.
One of my favorite spots for cocktails and people watching. Crowded and you'll need to wait, but it's worth it. Great food menu too.
