Authentic Mexican cuisine since the 40s and has stayed around for a reason. Interesting that they use turkey instead of chicken - but delicious. tried both the beef and turkey in the classic combo meal and fit to burst. everything was great and the staff make you feel super looked after.
Awesome authentic food with a HUGE menu. We got the house margarita, fresh on the house chips and salsa, chicken mole, fajitas and a burrito. Extremely filling and large portions (even took some home as left overs). Some of the best homemade flour tortillas I’ve ever had!
This place has been around for 75 years and there is a very large and helpful staff. We’ll be going back asap!
Delicious food, great atmosphere and the best service I have ever had in a restaurant!it was a very authentic Mexican restaurant.

My wife and I visited Tony’s jacal for lunch recently. We ordered mole for me and an enchilada and tamal combination plate plus a couple of drinks. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity if each plate. The chicken on my mole place was very tender and delicious. We will be back when in the area.
Have loved their food but placed a to go order on Friday for a combination chicken enchilada plate and a chili releno and cheese enchilada combo plate. Asked if I wanted chips and said I did. The cheese enchilada was hard and we were charged $42 without chips. My husband picked it up and didn’t look at the charge slip. Never received the chips. Tried to call and confirm the charge and they hung up on me! Really? I know it has been hard times for restaurants but over charging and mediocre food is not the way to get your loyal customers to come back.
Been going here for 30+ years. Food is always good with good waitstaff. Often a long wait during dinner hours. They are closed on Tuesday and are closed from 2pm to 4:30pm except they are open all day Sunday. Parking can be alittle tough but wait alitle bit and usually a spot opens up (you can also park in the lot to across the street to the northeast (next to the nail shop).
As far as the food is my current favorite is their fish taco which comes in a flour tortilla. The sides of rice and beans are great but i usually get the beans de la olla (pot beans) which is boiled beans which are great and better (and healthier).
Their chicken mole is good and the shrimp mole is a close second.
Another of my favorite dishes is a torta with red chile beef. I usually ask for everything on the side with the buns lightly toasted. Add alittle mayo and avacado slices and its great.
Note: you don't pay at your table, you go up front and tell them your table number.
They have some nice outdoor seating with heating and also do take out. I'm not sure if they are still doing curbside pickup (they did that during covid) so I'd call to double check that and also confirm that the pickup spot is in the rear of the restaurant.
First time to Tony’s & it was delicious. I sat at the bar and had the following:
- Chips & salsa
- Mezcal-Arita
- Turkey taco
- Carnitas taco
- Churro platter
Everything was super tasty and the wait staff were friendly and helpful. Perhaps if you eat in the actual restaurant, you may get fresh chips as the ones I had were hangin in a cage under a hot lamp. Regardless, the turkey taco was fresh and surprisingly tasty and the carnitas was super filling. The churros were also good but I recommend splitting them w 3 other people. I’ll be back foe sure. Thanks!
