It was a very fun little restaurant to eat in downtown Ballard! Great service; happy faces and very easy to talk to. The food was great and the portions was amazing for the price!
We’re happy with this quick lunch offering. Tastes authentic enough. I would have given 5 stars if the food was more appealing visually, served up in bento tray. But don’t let looks betray you.
Top notch Teriyaki! This is my new favorite spot. They nailed the veggie crispness and got the perfect char on the chicken. Def worth a visit or ten!
Solid choice for and easy pickup order. The food is always hot and comes out fast. The spicy beef is my go to and my wife likes the katsu. Haven’t had a bad experience yet.
My husband and I are very picky, and we were both happy with the food and price!! I had a couple pieces of chicken that were overcooked, but the rest --and all of my husband's portion-- were moist and tender. The teriyaki was perfect, with extra sauce available on the tables. The salad dressing was delicious and the rice cooked perfectly. The portion size is great for $7.45!! They have a lunch special for $5, and evidently their spicy chicken is amazing. We'll definitely be back!
It's a simple, no-frills ambience, with walk-up counter service and a large, pictorial menu high on the wall. It seems like a family spot, with Ballard High posters mixed in with the artwork. The guy working the register was friendly, and the food came out pretty fast. They seem to have many regular customers and do a lot of take-out, from what we saw while eating in. Comfy seats!

Some of the best teriyaki I've had!
The flavor reminded me of my childhood.
I got the chicken teriyaki, pictured.
The service was quick and friendly, the food was hot and tasty, and I have no way to complain!
If you're nearby, it's the best place to stop!
Sunny’s has become my new obsession. I’ve tried other teriyaki, just to try it and see if I’m missing something, but this place is just so good it wins every time. Authentic taste, excellent portions (we’re talking multiple meals), fast service and kind people. I try to keep my eating out to a minimum but I do treat myself a few times a month and it’s here. I usually go for either the regular or spicy chicken teriyaki and the yakisoba. You can’t go wrong with whatever you pick.
When I got there, the worker greeted me in such a kind manor. The food was brought out in only 10 minutes!
I love this place. Everything they have. Especially, the fried rice!
One of my favorite places.
My favorite meal chicken and beef teriyaki.
Never disappointed
