Overall, great experience. Salt and pepper squid rings were absolutely delicious. We also had the pork and cabbage dumplings and spicy noodles. Servers were friendly and attentive. Only issue was when asked if we wanted more boiled water for tea, the entire carafe was taken away (although not empty), and was not ready for the table before paying up and leaving - tea is not complimentary. Will definitely come here to eat again.
A great little cafe with a large selection of desserts and lots of delicious fresh fruit. We ordered the vanilla shaved ice with mango and grass jelly, and the mango pancakes. The shaved ice was very refreshing - the mango was sweet and perfectly ripe, and the grass jelly was good too. The mango pancakes were delicious as well - the crepes were filled with mango-flavored whipped cream and slices of fresh mango. The only thing was that the portions were quite small for each of the desserts being $7. But still, the quality of the food was great and I will absolutely come back soon!
I liked it more than I thought I would. They had board games and don't care if you stay for a very long time. It wasn't crowded when I went and the desserts tasted pretty decent. Also, it's not like there are many other places to go for HK style desserts around here.
I want this restaurant to be here for a million years. It's so delicious. Going back to try more of this menu. Staff was attentive, well-timed, and multilingual. They also had solid recommendations, and made us a fresh batch of dumplings bc they thought the first was too cold. I'm sure it would have been fine, but they looked out for us, like true homies would, so I want to show madd respect.
The food stays on your mind for days. Definitely order dumplings, and the house noodles, but don't stop there. I will eat my phone if you try this place and aren't in love with the food.
Just found out about this place from a friend on Chinese New Year. The dessert selection is amazing and traditional Chinese. I really love the Sago and taro mochi balls. There is a wide selection of desserts that also include durian and glutinous black rice. And highly recommend any of the shaved ice desserts. There are some desserts that come in both hot and cold options. Definitely make sure what temperature you want when ordering desserts. I tried the durian pancakes which was very pleasant. Expect a short wait when you come to this dessert bar. The service is very friendly and the servers or pretty knowledgeable about the entire menu. I highly recommend this place after every meal. Make sure you visited it if you're in the International district. I'm craving it still!
Dumplings are yummy! Pan fried takes longer so if you’re hungry, order boiled ones too. And bring friends so you can order an assortment.
Been here a few times.
Best dishes:
honey toast, sago, glutinous rice balls, grass jelly
Food quality/Consistency/Price:
relatively cheap for really unique tasty asian fruity desserts, and consistently executed as well.
Wait/Atmosphere/Service/Location:
super chill atmosphere, nice tables and chairs. It doesn't get too busy and it's open late. Easy parking because they share the House of Hong parking lot after a certain hour. They have some board games and stuff as well.
I can't recommend this place enough. The food was SO good. The dumplings were perfect; probably the juiciest I have ever had! The pork & fennel ones were especially delicious. And the small details... the chili oil (the ones that come on the table) was fresh and "clean" tasting, and this garlic-y soy sauce is really tasty. They have great service as well, everyone was very friendly.
Never have that kind of pan fried potstickers before. It was so amazing, I didn’t even want to start it ;) This place do made to order, so the dumplings were juicy and fresh! Definitely will be back very soon with a big group so I can try everything:)
Fantastic food and friendly staff, though kind of pricey for lunch.
