AWESOME!. I went for lunch for the first time. The place from the outside doesn't look very inviting but once you open the door the experience is completely the opposite.
I was warmly welcomed and invited to my table.
The place is very nice, roomy, clean and warmly decorated.
The menu very straight forward and I loved how the menu has a short explanation of what the restaurant is about.
I have to say that due to the price (only $6.95 for a lunch special), my expectations were not very high.
When chef Eddie brought the plate to my table, it was a very refreshing surprise!
Nicely presented and what a delicious meal.
The veggies and the chicken were perfectly cooked. The curry sauce was very creamy, the level of spice was perfect and the hints of coconut were delicious.
What a great dish.
Great service, great food, great price.
Awesome value!!
5 stars in my book.
Thanks chef Eddie!
I can not wait to share this place with my wife, friends and family!

Next time I will try the famous tamarind fish dish....

I love Eddie's!. This place is a gem! I only wish I had found it sooner. I have been ordering thai food from several places around Ballard but have never really been thrilled with them. I found Eddie's tonight and was so happy that they deliver to Ballard! The menu is interesting, a lot of variety. They have a low fat section. I decided on the grilled chicken with peanut sauce, non-oil phad thai, and spring rolls. Delivery was faster than I expected and the delivery lady was absolutely adorable and so sweet. First of all, I open the packages and everything looks amazing, bright colored veggies and pretty garnishes and it smells great too. I dive right in. The non-oil phad thai was absolutely delicious, full of veggies, chicken, peanuts, and a great flavor. It certainly did not lack in any flavor. The grilled chicken with spinach in peanut sauce was also delicious. It was topped with fresh, bright red tomato slices, garbanzo beans, and artichoke hearts! So good. The spring rolls were spring rolls. Not special like the other two dishes but they were tasty. The make a halibut with brown rice, veggies, and tamarind sauce. I don't usually order fish the first time I try a place but I can't wait to order it next time. This will be my go to place for thai'ish delivery from now on.

Eddie is the man!. Eddie's is a great place to escape the crowds up on Phinney Ridge on a Friday night. Having just recently moved from his former digs on Mercer Island, Chef Eddie's new place is an as-yet undiscovered gem on the corner of Aurora and 79th, a couple blocks from Green Lake.

The menu looks a bit daunting at first -- it's broken down into three parts: standard Thai/fusion fare, "Eddie's Tofu House," (vegetarian tofu-based dishes) and a "Light" menu that consists of dishes cooked with little or no oil.

The Thai curry dishes are decent but nothing special. The Cashew Chicken is a stand-out entree, but if you're trying the place out for the first time, you HAVE to have the Tamarind Halibut. It is Eddie's specialty and it's not quite like anything I've tasted before. The Halibut melts in your mouth, and the bold Tamarind sauce is a decadent mingling of sweet and savory.

The greatest thing about Eddie's, though, is Chef Eddie himself. The entire staff consists of him and his wife. They treat all of their customers like family, so don't be surprised when Eddie comes out of the kitchen for a chat. The last time I was at Eddie's, he asked me about the people I came with the first time I was there two months ago! It's nice to see a business owner who truly cares about his customers! Highly recommended!

Quick service. very nice and fun staff. Came in at halftime of Seahawks game and got my food quickly. Vegetables were freshly steamed, fresh steamed brown rice. And succulent grilled chicken in a sauce that is different and satisfying. Herbal tea was a bonus. Will return.

We had a good experience during our visit. The staff was very attentive. She said "Sorry for the Wait." Onto the food: - Garlic Beef: Other places called broccoli with beef. These dish was so good and a nice portion with rice. - Crispy chicken: this was a very big dish and the chicken was fried and tender, very well cooked, and lots of vegetable. I love the crispy basil too. - Green Curry: this was average, not super impressed, but was good - Pad Kai Moo Noodle: It came with broccoli, cabbage, carrot. It was good too. When I checked out,I got a discount 15% off .......WOW !!! As noted, the food was great, service is excellent, just the aftermath that really impressed our experience.

Don't be fooled by the run down exterior of this small restaurant, this is some of the best Chinese food in all the East Bay. Came here the other day and ordered the Eddie's 1989 Pan Asian dumplings, mixed vegetables plate, and beef with black bean sauce. I would recommend any of those to anyone without hesitation. The flavors were popping off all the dishes. I will be coming here again to try their other dishes. The wait can get pretty long but they also have take out readily available too.

Spicy not hot. Eddie is a fantastic cook, who puts his own spin on Thai dishes (he IS Thai). Prices are totally fair. He does take out, delivery, & i once had a party there with 20 of my good friends. The service is also excellent.

The service was amazing. The chef personally came to make sure our food was exactly how we wanted it. The waitress was so kind and helpful. And the food was hands down one of the best Thai food dishes I’ve had. Every time I’m in Seattle I’ll stop again.

Eddie's is not your typical Thai restaurant, and if you like things to be made the "traditional way" you might be in for a surprise. I love how they add veggies to every dish! I also like that they have a low-oil pad thai option that is healthy(er) and yummy. I order from here frequently and as other reviews mentioned the ingredients of the dishes change slightly from week to week, but it's always tasty. Fast service and friendly.
