My friend ordered me a meal from Ezell's that can appeal to any fried chicken lover. I had the spicy tenders with baked beans and fries, which were excellent. The tender was well-portioned with breading and meat, but I found the tender to be a smidge dry. Despite the minor blemish, the baked beans made up for it in a resounding fashion. The beans were cooked to the perfect consistency of not too soft nor too hard, and the sauce had a wonderful BBQ tang. The biscuits were also acceptable, as was the peach cobbler. Given that this was a takeout order, I was so impressed by the emphasis on their mains that I'm excited to come for a sit-down meal.
Delicious chicken and biscuit here! Quick ordering and you don't wait too long for food. Many combinations you can order including mix of spicy and regularl chicken. I like the chicken tenders with the honey mustard sauce (which is bomb). There's a good size parking lot out front too!
Buffalo Chicken tenders are awesome! Their shapes are different from other commercial restaurants. We got served fairly quickly.
Of all the locations, this one is the most consistent in cooking preparation. Both the chicken and the chicken tenders are fried to perfection without the chicken being dry. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned. The dipping sauces complement the chicken well.

I‘m from Georgia and recently transplanted to Seattle. I am a total soul food snob and I was not expecting this place to be all that. However I gotta say this place exceeded all my expectations - breading on chicken is crispy, gravy well seasoned and the mashed potatoes are real good. I coulda skipped the yeast roll (too sweet for my palate) but that’s okay. Portions are large and food was hot.
I couldn‘t believe they have chicken livers and okra on the menu. I will definitely be back to try those.

Great food, the chicken was fried perfectly but the regular didn’t have much flavor of its own. The bbq sauce mostly makes up for it though. I’ll definitely be back to try the spicy and buffalo strips at some point
I like local. Local eateries. Local shopping. I dislike big box anything. Ezell's is like a step back in time and they are all over the Seattle Metro. Chicken is great and feels more homemade than actual homemade. Sides are excellent - mashed potatoes are real and you can tell from the lumps in them. I mean that in a good way. Mac & Cheese is the only side I have eaten that I would actually look forward to ordering. Chicken is good. Prices are decent. Service is fast. A tradition for a reason. I still love me some Popeye's, I'm not going to lie, but this is good stuff. Oh, and local. Try some today.
Pretty consistent Ezell's location. I have ordered from here many times and have rarely had a mixup. I recommend the spicy chicken, it's not actually spicy but it is more flavorful. They have a parking lot too.
Chicken is good, can’t complain.
I personally don’t agree with how expensive chicken is these days at fried restaurants, but that’s my opinion. The chicken is crunchy but can often times have super uneven breading so that takes away from the experience.
For $19.00 you can get 1 pound of chicken which is good for about 3 small stomachs, 2 medium, 1 athletes stomach!
Overall though, the chicken is tender and tastes great. I can only complain about the coverage, you can see in the pictures. Super good if you’re drunk, good if you’re sober.
I would recommend just getting the chicken, okra if you’re feeling for some fries veggies. Avoid the cobbler if you actually like good cobbler and no reason to get the sides, waste of money.
Spicy gizzards and chicken were tasty. Moist chicken. Coleslaw has balanced flavor, though I'd like more texture. Unfortunately the slaw is shredded very fine. Corn was grilled semi-crisp but was very bland. Had to doctor it up with butter and seasoning at home. Rolls are soft and a little sweet, no butter needed. Fast, friendly service in their enclosed and warm waiting area.
