Great place. Like Mom's home cooking. The sides are amazing! The atmosphere is perfect. I hate Pepsi but they use the old Pepsi signs and even have an old Pepsi machine. It's the kind of place you would expect to find in the middle of Texas. This place is run by a couple of nice mature ladies so don't expect them to kiss your butt. Just be polite and enjoy a bit of History before it's gone and replaced with concrete floors and fancy food.
We were actually planning on going to another bbq place, but it closed for the month which turned out to be a good thing. We found this place instead and it was great! Had the brisket with mac n cheese and it the brisket was perfectly done (good brisket xan be hard to find). Was crowded, but plenty of outdoor seating which was nice on a warm day. It was mostly picnic table style seating, so great for small groups.
From Kansas City here, and this is damn good barbeque! Glad I've finally found a place besides my backyard for good BBQ. They've been around for decades serving up tasty smoked and sauced meats and delicious sides. Cash only and worth every penny!
I really like the food and laid back atmosphere, but I really wish they would accept debit cards. I for one don’t like carrying cash around so this would really be great! Thanks for your wonderful ribs and I will be back!
The best BBQ in the city cooked by two no-nonesense very good cooks. If you park in the back you will see the split hickory stacked up and smell the sweet pit. The decor is functional and humorous. A very Fried Green Tomatoes attitude in here. Cash only. Try to use a credit card and you get pointed to the appropriate sign on the wall. Better wear a shirt and shoes too! No..I doubt they would let a dog inside, service or not. If you didnt have an OBVIOUS handicap, I wouldnt either. Ive never seen this place crowded, but there are always a couple of tables taken and people coming in and out for take-out. I dont get the feeling these ladies are worried about feeding the masses. I recommend both the coconut cake and peach cobbler. PS: It aint cheap. You gonna pay for good quality. And dont steal my secret parking in the back!
The ribs were meaty with a smoky flavor and a fantastic mildly spicy barbecue sauce. Those sides and the sweet potato pie were fantastic. This place is the definition of an oldy but a goody.

Food Good! I loved when the elder gentleman cooked he had his own special TASTE, touch & soul...
Children, grandchildren, don't have his touch that finesse... I love the FOOD!!!
Great BBQ place. It has an old-style feel inside and the owner is always nice. Just keep in mind they only accept cash.
Rib sandwich definitely going to be a go-to from now on! Other than a few pesky bones (that are easily removed) meat was tender and medium sauce was well appreciated!
One of top 3 bar b que spots in Seattle. Been around 4 decades plus... love that tender brisket!
