The food was excellent.. some of the beef was a little on the tough side as in lower quality cuts of meat. But that was completely overshadowed by the flavor profiles. The service is on island tome but once you get the food... lookout!!! So worth it. The price point is also excellent. We had enough for six people with both meat and veggie combos and a side dish and all was under 50. The platter was nearly 2 feet across it seemed..
This is some of the best Ethiopian food I've ever had. I've tried most of their menu by now and everything is fantastic. I'd definitely recommend the samplers of both meats and veggies for anyone new to this cuisine or anyone wanting a good representation of what this restaurant does best. If ordering a la carte, be sure not to miss the green beans, they are out of this world.
This is one of the best Ethiopian Restaurants my husband and I have been to including ones in Washington DC and Las Vegas. 5 of us shared 3 menu items and it was more than ample as we still had a meals'worth left to take home with us. We decided on the combination vegetarian and combination meat along with an order of Doro Wat. The spices of each dish were unique and superb - exceptionally tasty. In fact my husband didnt want to wash his hands afterward because the spices on them from the meal smelled so good! Cant wait to go back!
Gojo is our favorite Ethiopian restaurant in Seattle. I grew up in Africa (my parents set up flying doctor services in several countries there including Ethiopia), and this is the real deal. The combination plates are a terrific introduction to Ethiopian cuisine, but make sure you try out some of the other specialties like Doro Wat (a chicken dish that takes a whole day to prepare), their many varieties of Tibs, and the green beans are to die for. The injera (the teff flour sourdough "pancakes" that substitute for utensils) is also milder than at some Ethiopian restaurants which makes it much more palatable if you haven't grown up on the stronger flavored types of injera.
Note: Ethiopian food is also highly kid friendly. The delicious flavors and eating with your hands makes it fun (just avoid the really spicy dishes).
We had ethiopian food for the first time. It was very delicious and a nice amount of food. Also has an authentic atmosphere.

This is the real deal - great food, cozy, authentic atmosphere, friendly staff. This ranks almost near the top compared to the 7 or 8 Ethiopian restaurants I've eaten at.
We've been here three times. They had by far I think the best Ethiopian food we've had in Seattle area. It's so sad to hear they are closed for business.

This was my first time having Ethiopian food and everything was delicious! Very satisfied. Can't wait to go back!
The food is great. Try the stir fried beef (dereq tibs) it is great. The place does not have a hostess so you need to find a sit yourself. The food is freshly prepared so you definitely need the patience to wait.
pretty good ethiopian. Probably my fav meat combo meal in seattle so far.
