This is my go to bar for brunch on the weekends. X is the best bartender I've interacted with in Seattle and the vibes are very chill. I like to just go here to enjoy food from Lost Lake without the crowds or wait time, and to get amazing drinks that I swear are made with love.
The people always seem really cool and honestly the typical Seattle attitude of not talking to each other seems to not exist here and I mean that in a good way. I normally don't like conversation with random people but it seems to just be really nice people who are actually cool to talk to who are there. It sort of feels like a family reunion where you maybe know a couple of people but everyone is pretty friendly.
Again, this is my experience as someone who does weekend brunch there. I know the evenings get way more busy so I can't speak to that experience but I'm sure it's still pretty cool even if it gets way more crowded. If you don't mind a crowd I'd recommend trying it out if you're looking for a place to grab some drinks with friends in the evening.
I’d highly recommend coming here for a night out on the hill. The music selection and drinks were great! Definitely coming back.
Lovely place for a weekend party! Caters all age groups. Different areas for loud and dance music for teens and headbangers, a cozy place for those who want to talk more with a good ambiance, an open full of lights area with sofa seats for those who just want to eat good food and have a couple of drinks in peace!
Food and drinks both are reasonable and very tasty. Super friendly staff as well.

The Comet is a Capitol Hill institution and a central location in the legendary Capitol Hill Block Party!
From 2013 - 2019 (formerly working as "Sensebellum") it was such an honor to help light up the neighborhood during the evening performances at the event with 3D projection mapping on the exterior of the tavern.
It was always a highlight of the summer to provide creative lighting for such a historic spot and occasion.
Thank you again for the excellent team at the Block Party and The Comet Tavern!
Great diner food cannot go wrong . The staff is accommodating knowledgeable and professional . Heavy pours , great service and music , but the weekend gets a bit hectic and hot . So many people dancing and the line is a bit long but worth the wait

Ahhhh when we look up at night skys one is sure to see a comet once every 50 years or so but why wait that long ? Come on down to the Comet Tavern ! You might catch a glimpse of a shooting star. If astronomy isnt your thing and you need chill vibes cold beer and good laughter and atmosphere, (and a place to charge your phone) im sure the partenders will take good care of you. No better place to be out of the cold than this gem. Definitely has the seattle local vibes in all of its rainbow glory.
Great little bar in Capitol Hill. Was a bit confused with the first initial beer price but otherwise nice vibe and cool staff and good drinks
place have two side which is nice drinks are decent price vibes here are good and Djs here plays good music. wish they would make the dance floor wider take out some seating and this place would be poping.
Pretty cool bar in one of the best areas in Seattle. Capitol Hill! We were looking for Mia Zapata’s engraving thats supposed to still be on one of the tables. No luck.
Funky fun vibe & decor. 80s & 90s music flashbacks and MTV music videos (unsynched with audio music playing)...mixed generations. 9$ draft beers kinda pricey.
