Love the location and service here. The baristas are always so friendly. It’s an ideal location next to Green Lake and makes the perfect post run/walk spot. There is limited indoor seating and some outdoor seating depending on the weather. Overall great spot and good coffee
Ended up at Peet's Coffee over the weekend rather than my go-tos since my boyfriend loves their coffee (he used to have it all the time in NYC where we lived). I had an iced latte - their sizes are enormous. I had a large and it was the size of a soda cup! Not that that's a bad thing...
Coffee was good, we brought our puppy so had to sit outside at one of their patio tables. Everything was fine, it just felt more chain-like to me, and with so many cute independent shops around I don't think I'd be a frequent customer. A quiet and attentive coffee shop. A place for good coffee, good pastries and a conversation with a friend. There are seldom any noisey little children there. Also good for sitting there and getting a little reading done. It has big bright Windows, even on an overcast day, ideal for watching the people walking by.
Just your basic Peet's coffee! Good service and typical chain based drinks. In my opinion better than Starbucks tho.
Wonderful coffee shop with great atmosphere and genuinely nice staff. They make the drip coffee in small batches, so what you get is super fresh even if you have to wait a minute or two for a new batch to brew. They might even let you pick the roast if you're lucky.
I coach for a living and meet clients here before walking Green Lake and getting Nature's glad tidings, solving problems, changing the world to be more peaceful and courageous. You need great coffee to do take the next step, and Peet's has the best in the west for flavor if you like dark roasts. Great people behind the counter and excellent service.
While visiting Green Lake for nostalgia, I was pleasantly surprised to find my favorite coffee place located nearby. As I approached the corner shop I was delighted to find that this place utilized an "open wall" schema reminiscent of some shops along Alki Beach. The solo young man working behind the counter was very friendly and answered all my questions. I ordered the Mojito Black Tie iced coffee, which was prepared promptly and efficiently. The coffee itself was a delightful departure from your regular, bland, and (dare I say) sometimes slightly-nauseous iced coffees that I was used to from other shops. This was a magnificent flight not through flavor country, but through flavor continent! I noticed the obvious coffee, but there was also a slightly minty finish, along with a nutty middle. Overall, the drink is one I would highly recommend on a warm day. This specific location is also very desirable and recommended.
Excellent coffee. Many different options and varieties of coffee to choose from. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Always satisfied with the service and my lattes is made to perfection. Definitely will continue to come back.
If you're looking for a place other then Starbucks around Greenlake Peet's is a great alternative, it's also basically now a days the only stand alone Peet's. We stopped by after walking around the lake hoping to grab some coffee and sit inside as it was a somewhat chilly day but inside the tables only accommodate two people and certainly no room for a stroller. They definitely cater to one person and a person meant to sit there for a long time. We tried to move two tables together but it just wasn't going to happen. We ended up having to sit outside and drink our beverages fast. It's not very family friendly as there's not much room for a stroller to get in their.
Most of the ratings here is about their snacks and ambiance. Like many coffee shops, it's a hole in the wall with some furnishings.
If you love a bold cup of coffee with lingering coffee aroma and tastes fresh, Peet's is your place.
If you enjoy lighter flavors, this won't be the place.
