My husband and I found this place while going to another restaurant to eat. The matzo ball soup was excellent better yet was the Rachel grilled pastrami sandwich with everything it was the best we have ever had. We will definitely be back. The bake goods also look very yummy

Wow! A real delicatessen on Capitol Hill in Seattle! Authentic Jewish deli with meats by the pound, baked goods, desserts, sandwiches, bagels, catering, dine-in and takeout. Excellent quality, reminds of when I was a kid. So happy I've discovered this spot (late) finally! :)

I can’t recommend this place enough! As a former east coaster, I’ve struggled to find a Deli in the PNW that comes to close to the food back home. I can say without a doubt that Dingfelder’s is parallel if not better than anything you can find on the east coast or anywhere else for that matter. The Pastrami was cooked to perfection and the Matzoh ball soup was like a hug for my soul. 10/10 definitely check this place out!

Better than Katz Deli in NYC. Come with an appointment. Leave with the meat sweats. I've been coming here once a year since 2019 for lunch during PAX. Everything has been superb. The corned beef. The pastrami. Both types of housemade pickles. The rye bread. Nothing here leaves me or anyone I've dragged along disappointed. Start with the corned beef, or combo with the pastrami, and expand from there. Don't forget a potato latke. Grab a bagel for tomorrow morning.

Small number of tables with self-service, a friendly staff, very cold (take a coat). Challenging street parking only. Something wasn't totally thawed on the lox and bagel sandwich--made for an unenjoyable meal. Take-out pastrami was tasty. Question the $$$ value here.

I finally found a good Jewish deli in the Seattle area: Dingfelder’s on East Pine, Capitol Hill. The matzah ball soup was the best I’ve had, as was the chopped liver on rye sandwich. I also appreciated that the proprietor was welcoming and eager to make a new customer feel at home.

My friend had sent me some of their Matza ball soup a few months back when I was under the weather and I loved it. As I am fighting my cold, I decided to test it out. I ordered the pastrami sandwich Seattle style. Not knowing it came with a side of pickles and coleslaw, I ordered a side of pickles and a single latke. The rye bread was fresh and overflowing with pastrami meat. I loved how crispy the latke was and could have even gone for another! I do with the matza ball soup was a bit bigger but I will go for a larger size next time. The soup, latke, and half a sandwich were more than filling. The drastic size differences can make it a little tricky to navigate a single size serving, but I imagine great for ordering in large groups. Also, their hours are a little limiting. I ordered on door dash and it was ready within minutes!

I’m from Cleveland and know good Deli (shout out Corky & Lenny’s). Dingfelder’s is top notch. We get leftovers to nosh for the week. Would recommend the smoked salmon by the pound (it isn’t lox) and tuna salad. A frequent stop for me, especially for a hot matzo ball soup or noodle kugel. Vance runs a great restaurant for the Capitol Hill lunch crowd.

Listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen… you will be back. I don’t know how many places in seattle sells brisket and frankly after trying dingfelders I really don’t care because this place has the best brisket sandwich. I made a huge mistake going to jacks BBQ for brisket, DO NOT GO THERE! RIP OFF! I got one tiny piece of brisket strip about the size of a piece of bacon for $13. Dingfelders is the spot! I would say they match my favorite brisket in texas! I drove by this place so many times because the outside of the building is a bit boring to look at but I’m glad I finally showed up. Back to the brisket sandwich..You get an insane amount, it’s JUICY! A few pieces of fat not a lot but I didn’t mind it because it was little bits here and there and it was damm good! This sandwich was simple, it had its little sauce on there. I had it with the seeded rye, good bread. Aint nothing dry here. And you will be full off of it im 380 pounds so there ya go. And I did order pick up they were very fast. This place has a steady flow of people. Enjoy the pics because I did lol. I knew when I first looked at it unwrapping it that it was gonna be damm good. So glad I’m a block away 🤣🤣🤣😜😋

After coming back from Katz Deli in NY, I was wondering if Seattle has anything even close. Well, to my surprise, direct comparison, this place is close. Their fresh Latkes with applesauce and cream cheese is better then Katz. Their sandwich meet is put on nice and thick, almost as much as Katz. The meet is sliced chunkier but that is a matter of preference, I think. The corned beef is better then Katz. The Liver is great and the pastrami is alright, not as good as Katz. The matzo ball soup is a different style, way more chunkier with lots of chicken, more sage and pepper then I'm used to, but, verry good, and different. Oh, and they serve half sour and full souer pickels. They got their own thing going on here, and their own thing is good. So much more to try when I take the rest home for dinner. So amazed that Seattle has anything close to what I wanted. And this place is more then just close!
