Both my wife and I think scooters is excellent. Old-school neighborhood burgers and shakes. They been around Ballard forever and ever earned a place in our hearts and our stomachs. I can’t recommend them enough absolutely get more than your moneys worth.
Delicious and very fair prices! Gotta get me a Bacon-Cheeseburger Combo next time I'm in Ballard.

I had a cheeseburger. My friend had the fish and cheese sandwich. Both of us had the coffee Milkshake. We were hungry. It was open. We both ate and neither had a complaint. The service was kind:)
That was a damn fine burger and fries I just had. Big meat, thick bacon, fresh slice of jalapeño. Fries on point 👌. I'd only say they should probably spruce the place up to survive a gentrified Ballard. I hate it but this isn't the same town it used to be.
We only stopped for milkshakes, but they were fast and really good quality. I need to come back and try their regular food. I got the blackberry milkshake and I will say that it just tasted like vanilla with a slight purple hue to it. I tried the butterscotch as well and that one was yummy!
It's an older place, it's designed to get you in and out, you aren't there to impress a date, lol.
You are there to get some really delicious inexpensive real food and that will do just fine. It isn't a franchised, industrialized behemoth.
It's great while you're running around getting things done and great for the end of the day and need sustenance.
It's great for relieving your childhood memories of burgers, shakes and fries and pretending it's not an indulgence because you're too old to run off all the calories and your cardiologist might kill you if they ever found out about your guilty pleasure. (Or join you)
Everything in moderation. Right? I don't come here a lot, but I'm always happy I did.
The spicy burger is very spicy but also has a very nice flavor. The service is great, I was given chips and salsa while I waited for my order which was nice
Quick service and great burger! Haven't tried fries yet but they looked amazing. I can't wait to go back again.
Service was excellent. Hot food was hot and the milkshake was chilled. French fries and onion rings were crispy and yummy. I ordered the veggie burger with sauteed mushrooms and Swiss cheese. The veggie burger is a Garden patty, which I'm not a great fan of but figured it was worth a try. Still not crazy about Garden patties - that's why I only gave Scooter's 4 stars. I think there are much better and more flavorful veggie burger options out there now. Scooter's: please consider updating veggie patties with a 21st century plant based food.
Everything we've tried here so far is delicious.!!!!
And yes it's pricey but everything in Seattle is.

Scooter's has been a favorite of mine since I moved to Ballard a year ago. The bacon cheeseburger is arguably the perfect burger, and their shakes are great. Pretty nice COVID setup with a one-way entrance and one person in at a time. Called in my order ahead of time and had a quick walk through and pick up.
Really, though, just look at this work of art.

Absolutely the best fries in Seattle, maybe even the entire state! Ketchup or dipping sauce isn't needed, they taste great naked!! The fries I mean, but you wear whatever you want.
I can't do milkshakes (lactose intolerant) but my kids love them.
Very friendly staff, prices aren't unreasonable, the place seems clean and well run. No real inside dining except for a counter, but there are a couple tables outside.
I recently moved to W Seattle and am missing those fries!
