The spinach is my favorite, but everything is fantastic!

Recommended for great food & service in central downtown with a sustainable mindset encouraging customers to reuse their plastic containers which reduces costs for all.

This place is amazing and you can tell the owners care about their customers and take pride in the quality of their food. The place is a bit of a hard to find location since it's underneath a theater. But once you find it just go to the spot with the longest line! They have home made delious Korean food and some Hawaiian food too! The mac and cheese is amazing and so is the chicken! They are very green to so if you save your container and bring it back with you next time you will get a discount on your next purchase.

Umma’s Lunch Box was so delicious that we came back another day during our trip. I love the green aspect of reusing containers. You even get a dollar discount. The owner was friendly and encourages packing your container to the brim. As long as the lid kinda fits, you are good to go. Sauces are free. The food is so fresh and not heavy at all. I wish we had one on the East Coast!

Come for the food, not the atmosphere! The guy who helped check me out was genuinely interested in helping me navigate the delicious hand made food, and man was it good. I took pictures of the place and how to find it, as well as the upper seating area so people can know better about what to expect.

Great value for the price if you can pack your container well! I'm Korean and I have to say this is more of a fusion Korean food that's good enough to satisfy your Korean food cravings. The food is overall mediocre but there is a pretty good variety and the owner seems to really care about his customers. (Also not sure if there is anywhere like this in Seattle!)

Great amount of food for the price. The food tastes good and they will make sure you get more than you need. The meat was good, rice was good, kimchi was tasty. This place is a great bang for your buck. Will leave you full and in a food coma if you can manage to eat it all. The cashier saw my bowl and made me go put more food in it because it wasn’t overflowing. They also brought us out spam mushubi because it wasn’t there when we were filling our bowls! This place knows how to run a business!

This tucked away Korean shop is a true gem! After going down a flight of stairs from the street, it is just one of the 2 vendors in a food court. They offer a large variety of home-made Korean dishes, served buffet style. You pick the size of your container, and can put in whatever your heart desires. Everything was delicious, and the staff was super helpful in recommending what to pick. I loved it so much that I came back the very next day. Oh, make sure you ask about their home-made sauces!

There are elevators! They are located closest to the stairway at the theater, but there are elevators on the opposite side of the block, on 6th St, between Washington Athletic Club and the garage (see photo— the elevator is just beyond the flags on left). Escalators nearby also. (Wish I had known this before going back to the hotel to change from stroller to carrier...) The food was okay... the steamed veggies were too crunchy and the sushi too spicy. Not sure if the wait was worth the hype. The line moved quickly though.

Everything is good. My favorites are the japchae, breaded chicken, and pickled radish. The only reason it is not 5 stars is because they are sometimes out of food when I get there at 2pm.

We stopped here on our last day in Seattle before taking the Clipper onto Victoria and it was great. Everything tasted delicious and they had array of sizes of the lunch boxes with very reasonable prices. My friend especially enjoyed the spam sushi :P The chicken was delicious. My fave though were the glass noodles!! So good!

Unfortunately I ate my food too quickly to get a picture, but this is seriously amazing food. Perfect balance of spicy and pickled, fresh everything, a delicious probiotic chili sauce, and hands down the best bang for your lunchtime buck in downtown at just under $10 for everything you can stuff into your box. Also, the person working the counter took the time to show me how to mix everything and asked me what I liked so he could make a custom sample. Good food, good price, excellent service.
