This is our neighborhood go-to place for good food and drinks, a perfect place to bring a friend or two and get cozy. We especially love the staff, who are friendly, attentive, knowledgable, and charming as hell. AND, vegan/veggie food is a first class citizen on the menu-- so many great options. The vegan chicken tenders are to die for.
Oak is my favorite hangout/restaurant in Seattle. The trek from Capitol Hill to Beacon Hill is totally worth it. Great food, delicious drinks, and amazing staff!!! The chicken pot pie is off the hook.
My brother found this place through reviews and wanted a place to go with vegans and non vegans.
So many tasty options including specials.
On the tables they have all the condiments.
There is an indoor and outdoor seating area.
Don't forget about the cocktails.
They also make a delicious in house sauce.

We're back with another look at a local establishment just up in the Beacon Hill area.
The Oak is a nice stylish place kind of tucked between 2 other establishments. Parking can be difficult because it's on the street, but there are a few other places to park if you're ok with a short stroll.
Once inside, it was like being in a ski cabin, all warm and inviting. We were seated fairly quickly, and our orders were delivered almost just as fast.
The burger was delicious, but the pot pie was amazing. The dessert wasn't exactly what I wanted. Cupcakes for dessert are not something that screams originality, but you have to go with what you got.
I'd surely return if not just for the Herky's fried chicken sandwich. So stop in and see what the Oak offers for those looking for a great local establishment.
The brussel sprouts were cooked very nicely. Super crisp, but a little too sweet for my taste. The creamed corn bites were tasty as well. I was very pleased that they had quite a few vegan and vegetarian options! I had the vegetarian chicken substitute, which was satisfying. No complaints, but nothing to rave about either. Overall, it was enjoyable but I wouldn’t go far out of my way to come back.

Visited this place twice in a weeks time, and i had some wonderful burgers 🍔, small plates, and drinks. I tried their Cauliflower tempura, Sweet Creamed Corn Nuggets, Curried Chickpeas, Brussel Sprout Small Plate Field burger, and Vegan Chimichurri "Chicken" Sandwich. Except Cauliflower and corn nuggets, everything else was very delicious. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking for some vegan burgers around Beacon Hill Neighborhood in Seattle.
The oak is a great place for dinner and drinks. I noticed a lot of vegan options. I got the brussel sprouts for an appetizer which were delicious. I also have a blackberry cocktail that i enjoyed very much while sitting outside in the sun. If you just want a shot of whiskey and a lager, i believe they call it an oldie and Crow. Overall, a very good experience, especially sitting outside on a sunny day!

Half our food was a little cold as if they waited for the other plates to be ready at the same time so that was the only thing they fell short on. I still devoured my food. 🤷♀️ Just don’t overeat since it’s so damn good. 😅
Lively neighborhood spot for American food. Good drinks. Good service. Reasonable prices. Chicken sandwich, sliders, and fries were good. Margarita and other drinks were pretty good.
Great comfort food. Roger had the pot pie and the boy and I had the shepherd's pie and crisp, local IPAs and a cider. We sat outside in December and it was cozy under the heater. Good service.
Pretzel puffs were fantastically flavored and didn't need the hunny dip, though that was tasty, too. Unfortunately, they seem overpriced for what you get. If they doubled the amount or halved the price, it would feel more appropriate.
Chicken strips were great, and the fries were better. Those are some of the best fries I've had in a long time, and the portion was generous. We'd get this again, and it made me want to try the other chicken options.
Minimum wage burger tasted good with a nice grilled flavor, but was overcooked. If done medium rare or medium, would have been juicier.
Chicken pot pie was ok...nothing particularly outstanding about it, but a good comfort food choice. But I'd go for the chicken strips first every time.
The atmosphere is warm and relaxing. It's a great neighborhood spot. Service is friendly and attentive.

Only popped in for a sleepy little night cap, but the staff was overwhelmingly friendly and they made everyone feel like a regular! We will def go back.
