I’ve been here three times. The food was good but there weren’t a lot of choices. They have pressed sushi roll and it feels like just regular rolls. The food was decent with the cost. The uni shooter was like a tiny bowl of uni roe bowl since they have rice underneath the uni. You can’t really shoot that into your mouth like a drink. They have special watermelon cocktail drink where you drink directly out of a small watermelon. It’s pretty cool but cost $27 per drink. This is a small little place and it’s always packed. Making reservations is recommended before going.

This place has amazing food! Our favorite was the tuna appetizer. The pressed sushi was also very good. The udon dish was almost like Mac and cheese. The cocktails were all amazing as well. The atmosphere and servers made it warm and inviting as well.

Came here for the 3rd time while taking a girl out on a date and I did it right this time. Ordered off the daily menu and got a plethora of things to experience the feel of the restaurant and I can say this is one of the best Japanese meals I've had. The ambience was wonderful, and the food was spectacular. The tastes were all so complimentary of each other, and it was paired with spectacular service. The kaarage back ribs were falling off the bone, the uni dishes had the flavors incorporated so perfectly, and the sushi was amazing. For the type of food served, the price point is not bad at all, and that's coming from a cheap ass person

I really love suika for their uniquely flavored sushi, their creamy Uni Udon, and honestly everything else on the menu. While the portion sizes are small, the food is amazing. Go there for the Happy Hour!

Awesome Izakaya with unique dishes - from different types of Kara-age, to a take on Bibimbap! Tako Kara-age highly recommended. A wide variety of sake/cocktails round out the culinary experience. It's pretty packed, even on week nights, so reservations definitely recommended. Excellent service. Good for groups. Actually moderately priced. Street and paid parking in lots are available.

Very popular place. We had to wait about 30min. We checked a couple of near by stores til they called us when our table was ready. If you were not in rush, this notification system works great. The interior was nice and cozy feel. Food selections was decent. Lots of fried food, chicken, tuna, pork, etc. we had Tuna tatsuta age which was really good. Sashimi salad and sushi dishes were overpriced. Very skimpy 4 pieces of fish/ scallop mix with greens. I was disappointed. Their house Ginger Ale was really tasty! I loved it! As long as you stay away from raw seafood, food is reasonable cost. Street parking only. Suited for grownups in small groups.

High quality food high quality place. Often has a long wait so make sure you book in advance. Had an unfortunate experience where I bit one of the chillies in their ramen and burnt my mouth. They were kind enough to find milk for me and even waived the cost of the ramen. Would definitely go back to try other things there

We've been looking for a go-to izakaya since moving here and, until further notice, Suika is it! There wasn't a single dish that was bad and several dishes were just plain awesome. The uni shooters and kakuni bibimbap were nothing short of delicious and the potato mochi special that night was quite a treat. Definitely going to think of this place first the next time I've got that late night craving.

Hidden little gem right on Pine, a Japanese traditional and fusion spot. Had a handful of appetizers that were great, along with a nice assortment of main dishes. The Rainbow Uni Shooter was delicious, especially if you are a fan of roe. Started with the cold ramen salad which was phenomenal, would have it again as a main dish. The bibimbap was authentic, along with the spicy ramen. We also had the spare ribs which were a bit too fatty for my liking, and I like fat. For the money, I would stay away, you don't get much meat, mostly fat and bone, and the sauce was much too sweet. Plating was drab considering the price and how everything else looked. Might go back for the ramen. Also frozen grapes for complementary palette cleansing dessert! Service was great, tea was tasTEA

Stopped by Suika a few times with friends on a whim (we were super lucky and managed be seated without a reservation), and we loved the experience. We split a few plates between the 3 of us: chicken karaage, grilled octopus, seafood ramen, wings, and we were decently full afterwards. I could have done without the seafood ramen - I liked the creaminess and flavor of the broth but the uni was far too bitter for me. The octopus and chicken karaage were really the highlights for me - both were super flavorful and juicy, I'd highly recommend! On another visit I tried their sashimi salad and hellz ramen, both were decent, and very filling.
