The staff was great. The prices were on point. The food looked amazing. The donuts?!?!?---Well I was hoping for a Maple Bacon bar and Bavarian Cream, but no luck. I had something else instead and gave a review here. @i.doughnut.know.donuts
Happened on this place while waiting for the Vashon ferry. Probably the best donuts I’ve had in Seattle! They have a wide selection as well as other baked goods. I had a regular glazed raised donut, a apple fritter, and a glazed persian and all were delicious. I took them down the road to the waterfront to eat.
Wow! Best apple fritter I have EVER had! Went by to grab a breakfast before catching a flight home to Texas and so glad I did! Delicious! Quaint shop and friendly people.
This bakery is really popular and for good reason! The menu and things they sell are amazing.
My only regret is not buying some things I saw after paying. There is so much, it is easy to miss things.
The ambiance adds to the experience; however, the people working there make the biggest difference with their positive attitudes.
No Kidding - one of the best doughnuts and experiences we have had. We were on our way out of town and (thankfully) stumbled upon this gem. The owners were so sweet and gracious, and their baked goods were out of this world.
We eat doughnuts at every destination/city we go to, and these have trumped all previous experiences.
Do yourself a solid and come here on your stay to Seattle / West Seattle.
Get here early. Items are going quick before the last day. I’m guessing next weekend will be crazy quick to run out of items.
A nice place in the neighborhood. If you want eggs, you may want to go to Endolyne Joe's next door that has a full breakfast menu. However for just coffee and I mean all kinds of coffee, this bakery can't be beat. They also have neat desserts. And I love that stove they had in there! That's totally awesome.
I finally went in here after 2 years in the neighborhood. Well worth swinging in to. The breads are perfect and yeah doughnuts were great as well. No cash excepted You order at one window they bring it to a table for you to grab. So, you will be outside for a few minutes.
The Original Bakery is that quintessential neighborhood coffee & donuts spot to stop by before a stroll (or in my case) run in Lincoln Park. I always get the glazed donut because it’s huge and fluffy with that sugary crust that doesn’t disappoint. The sprinkle donut is a fave for the kids. The staff are so friendly. I went there this morning and was so impressed with their kindness. Definitely recommend this spot.
Way too addicting!! Truly good flavors, traditional baked goods made with authentic love & passion (yes, it comes through their quality and flavors). My new favorites; apricot thumb print cookies and the apple turnover!! That apple turnover pairs sooooo well with Didier-Ducos L'Albutien Brut Champagne from fatcork (cave located on lower Queen Anne)!!! Seriously the best small (batch) bakery I've found in years! They have limited hours so plan ahead. It's worth the wait (and miles if you're walking).
