I've lived in the PNW forever. We go to awesome bakeries all the time. I went here for the first time yesterday. A lot of places don't live up to their hype. This patisserie exceeded ALL of my hopes and expectations. These are the things I tried...
Coconut cream puff - I LOVE cream puffs and this one was the best I've ever had. I can not even describe how heavenly the cream was.
Apricot Stilton scone - Everything I've ever heard about it was true and then some. Unfathomably delicious.
Cheweo with raspberry filling - May I have several dozen for my birthday?
Smoked Paprika and Cheddar croissant - It was the best savory croissant I've had thus far in my life.
Mint Julep as well as Passionfruit macaron - I've recently fallen in love with macarons and the Mint Julep one is to die for. I hope they have pistachio the next time I visit. That's my all-time fave.
I work every weekend day, but my next mission in life is to make it in for their Pistachio croissant and Caneles. As you already know, I adore pistachio and Caneles are newly found and much-adored treat.
Thank you, Crumble and Flake, for making my world a better place than it was before I tasted your wonderful creations!

I've yet to try anything here that I don't like, but I can never leave without an apricot & Stilton scone, a smoked paprika & cheddar croissant, and a to-die-for kouign amann. Neil knows what it's about.
We had a Chocolate Croissant and a Chocolate Pistachio Croissant at Crumble & Flake Patisserie. We just walked next to the Patisserie on the street and smelled the baked goods. It was so good, we had to go in and buy something. As a German I think it is a little bit pricy but it tasted really good and was worth it. Small place, tasty goods, we can recommend it! Enjoy food from there!
Cute corner pastry cafe! I ordered the Lemon & Fennel cake and Cream Puff. The Lemon & Fennel was a delightful surprise in balanced flavor. The sugar crystals on top gave it a nice sweetness, but the lemon & fennel added a depth of flavor that left you feeling satisfied instead of guilty. The cream puff was alright, a safe bet for a sweet fix. The service was friendly and fast. We'll definitely come again!
Chilled in Seattle for the Canadian Thanksgiving long weekend. Tried Crumble & Flake for the first time at the urging of several friends. We got there late on a Sunday so the selection was very sparse. Thank goodness there was still one Kouign Amann left and it was simply divine. The bronze, round pastry had a nice, flaky, buttery centre and a crispy caramelized crust. Highly, highly recommend if you are in the Capital Hill neighbourhood.
An absolute gem! Check out their gateau basque and their chocolate truffle cookie is dense and chewy.
On top of that the customer service is really phenomenal. I met the baker, Toby, who was really nice and there's a gentleman there who is always so friendly. What a treat 😋
Excellent patisserie! The name crumble and flake describe the croissants well - love the pain au chocolat, with nice chocolate inside the flaky croissant and kouign amann. Very small shops but definitely worth going - no seatings inside or outside but it wasn't as busy as other bakery (Bakery Nouveau) when I was there. Parking available on the surrounding street.
Extremely good French bakery specializing in pastries. I would highly recommend the croissants or chocolate croissants - both are perfect with coffee in the morning. They also have a variety of other pastries for sale, all of which are also very much worth trying.
Don’t forget that they’re closed Tuesdays!
Selection is limited, but it is delicious and worth it. So remember, the early bird eats the worm. But don't plan to eat here as the place is pretty much a grab and go place.
But, If you are into quiche, do yourself a favor and eat one of these in here.
Mmm French puff pastry. They fill it right when you buy it. Fill to the max. So good. No place to sit, but plenty of coffee spots around.
Very small hole in the wall cover bakery there selection is small but they put a lot of passion into there products you get high quality over a quantity of items it's a take out only bakery and I went specifically for the conelés which were perfect had a nice burnished caramelized crust that had a nice chew with an amazing fluffy egg sponge center nice light vanilla note very good and they use the copper molds for them so they put a lot of detail and effort to make sure there authentic and perfect
Only the best pastries in Seattle. I would deduct a star for only letting my buy 6 of any one thing at a time, but then I realize how greedy I am and I should really share the limited amount of goodness that these wonderful chefs and staff provide our beloved city. We are a better city because of this incredible institution.
