I walked in in the mission of trying a new restaurant in Capitol Hill, and I left the place delighted by the food, service and experience.
I ordered the three course happy hour meal, and it’s was the perfect experience to share with my partner. I was very thankful by the presentation of everything and the taste.
The waitress was very engaging, knowledgeable and friendly. She went above and beyond so we could have a great experience.
I loved the relaxing and intimate atmosphere the restaurant offers. Definitely a great environment to celebrate with your partner, go on a date or catch up with friends.
Bar Cotto is definitely my new go to place when I want Italian food in Capitol Hill.
They have great deals here! We love the $60 for a salad, pizza, pasta, and bottle of wine! Happy hour deals are also really nice.
Everything is really tasty and they have this awesome chili oil that’s delicious as well :)) Also plenty of vegetarian options!
Staff is really kind, they let us taste a few wines before we chose a bottle that we liked.
I love this place. It’s a great find.
Very casual, and really friendly staff.
Also, 4 people, at $30 each, including 2 bottles of quality Italian wine, is very affordable.
The espresso martini “Flatliber” is the best I’ve ever had. It’s not usually my thing.
I had the charred broccolini and the spaghetti with meatballs. Everything came out hot, and while the meatballs were tad salty everything else was delicious. They seemed short a host today so I had to wait a while, but the guy who ended up serving me was professional. I'm glad they have outdoor dining!
Unexpected gem of a relatively affordable Italian spot. The gnocchi is the best I've ever had bar none, it melted in our mouths! The burrata was incredible too. Highly recommend and good vegetarian options

Really happy this came up searching for "Italian". My partner and I came down from Vancouver for a few days and this restaraunt was a great first stop. Great deal for a 3 course meal with drinks. The pasta was the bomb, if I wasnt sharing that whole plate would have been gone in an instant. The pizza was great, but I think it sat out a bit too long so it was a bit cold coming to us. Didn't dissapoint taste wise though. The staff are friendly and hard workers. They seemed very busy for when we came. If we come back to Seattle anytime soon we will definitely stop here!
Really can’t beat $50 for salad, pasta, pizza and a bottle of house wine! The food was fresh, flavorful, and filling. Everything paired so nicely together. The ambiance is dark but in a romantic way. My only complaint is that there is 5-6 tables max, so at times there is certainly a long wait and when I called they did not take reservations. Overall a great date night spot and we will definitely be back.
Everything was phenomenal! I couldn't find anything to improve, even when I tried to nitpick.
Cristian was absolutely lovely. She provided the best service I've had in years!
I really enjoyed myself here. The wine was delicious. We had a bottle of the Abruzzo with Burrata and Spaghetti Meatballs & Ricotta Gnocchi. Only giving four stars instead of five cause I didn’t think the pasta was great. To me it lacked flavor. But still good!
We’ve celebrated birthdays here and spent an amazing happy hour at their outdoor table. Anything you order is full of flavor and comes out piping hot! We’ll be back very soon to enjoy another evening at this cute, cozy Italian restaurant.
