Hey, that '49er rally wasn't their idea, it went viral all by itself! J&M is an excellent venue, regularly featuring some of the top bands in Seattle.
Best housemade BBQ sauce! BBQ Bacon burger is delicious, the wings are superb and the bartenders make this a fun place to be (especially Erin!)
Reviewing on just the drinks and vibes. Wasn’t there to order food.
J&M is open and lively with a rich history. The bartender that afternoon made a lovely manhattan! They also offer many choices of beer and their wine is on tap which was actually pretty decent!
Lots of TVs for your viewing pleasure. Service was attentive but not aggressive, friendly and polite.
You’re in pioneer square so parking can be a little rough but the prices are super decent given the area. I really enjoy J&M!
It's been around longer than I have! Very popular and happening... incredible food and Buffalo hot wings... friendly, happy staff...and when I haven't showed up to watch a game...have walked into the bar to find that they have live music too! Back when Marshawn Lynch played for the Seahawks: J&M bar did us a solid and allowed my daughter to bug, pester, and terrorize. I believe it's no kids after 9 not positive on the time. ;) J&M just gives off good vibes
Great Seattle original. Great food, great atmosphere and great music too. This venue/cafe/bar was another very important place for bands in the late 80s to make their mark. They throw down at the bar! If you order liquors, they gonna be strong.
The sign outside boasted the oldest bar in Seattle...stopped in for a beer and a quick bite before a baseball game. Very well priced food and drinks, probably the meatiest wings I've ever seen, and a half decent selection of beers. It was old and dated but I'm guessing to really hammer home that oldest bar in Seattle feeling. Would definitely go back.
Quality American food and drinks at a good price given the location. Awesome service. Pretty great appearance and feel, too; I'd probably give it 5 stars if it weren't borderline sports-barry.
If you like jazz, you need to come here. If you like to hang out in a cool setting with friends, and have some good drinks (at a good price) and good food (also at a good price), then you have to come here as well. Fridays and Saturdays are always crazy nuts here, but for a good reason. They pump out drinks at the bar so quickly so you won't be waiting in line for a very long time. Their staff is also super nice too, always walking around looking to get empty glasses and plates out of the way and asking if you want more. This is a great place to start or end your night if you venture down towards Pioneer Square.
My girl and I, decided to spend the evening here, instead of heading back across the water, home. What a great decision that was! First we met one of the nicest/funniest bartenders (Mitch). If you ever get a chance, go meet him. You'll be glad you did. Secondly, the food was phenomenal (Me, the pulled pork sliders, and her the wings). And last but certainly not least....The music was super good! A great place to get away from it all, and a have great time doing it.
Awesome place had a great time at the Michael Winslow show
This place has really good pizza. 12" personal size cooked in a wood fire oven. Crust isn't too doughy and not thin. Amazing green salad for $6!! Decent place for drinks and food.
I always sit at the bar and staff is friendly and attentive.
Stopped by here while roaming Pioneer Square, and it was a nice place. We were looking for chicken to eat, but they were all out. They were and so was another restaurant. The bartender was very friendly and made me my first Bloody Mary ever. Very good service and drink, but unfortunately didn't get to stay for the food.
