Definitely cool place to hang out and gives you the Irish feeling when you’re in there. Best half and half Guinness in town hands down, its an art to pour Guinness so perfectly and Fado excels in that. Their roasted red pepper hummus is also a must try.
We first ventured to Fado a couple years ago when in town for a wedding food was great loved the vibe, went back Mother's day with the couple since we were back.
In a word "Awesome" on all points. Everyone in love with their food from the fish n chips to the chicken baguette to black bean burgers. Pints were great, service top notch, and then the unexpected pleasure of the Irish music group practicing at the next table.
When back in Seattle, especially if there is a match will make an intentional trip no doubt. Whoever runs this place gets it and that is evident all the way through our experience.
I come here everytime to get the GREATEST (SHEPHERDS PIE) IS A MUST.
The beer is great, staff is very good, all the food is good. They have Seattle Sounders games there with all those tvs.
A must try.....
We had family visiting from Pittsburgh 2 years ago who wanted to watch the Steelers game, so we brought them here to enjoy the game. 2 years ago, we were not impressed with the food, but we returned last week and the food was much better! We had a great time with the other Steelers fans enjoying the game. We will definitely go back when visiting family wants to catch a game!
An excellent proxy for being in an Irish pub.... but in Seattle. One of the truly authentic elements of an Irish pub is the Snug. Women were not allowed in pubs in Ireland before the 1960's, nor were they popular with priests, so pubs introduced the "snug" which was a confessional style booth that allowed anonymity to the person drinking in it. Fado's has a snug, they call it, "the confessional". It's about as authentic as you are going to get in Seattle.
I have been to a few Fadó Pubs and have never been disappointed; this location is no exception. We enjoyed food from the bar menu as we watched the game. The bartender was cheerful and provided top notch service. The Guinness was crisp and fresh. A great spot to meet friends or make new ones.
Swung in here on New Year’s Day. Service was friendly, and accommodating. Rainier tall can tasted just like Rainier. Potato wedges were crispy and lovely. Beer battered chicken tenders were fried to perfection. This place was in the part of Seattle were a lot of homeless folks hang out. Be mentally prepared for that if you are not from the area.
Cold beer good selection, good Cod fish n chips, attentive but not obstrusive manner. Would like some more Irish fare on the menu. Recommend.
Fadó is your quintessential Irish bar. I've been to a few Irish bars across four continents and I have to say this one is the best. I felt like walking into a proper pub in Ireland. Being a proper Irish Pub, Fadó even carries Conor Mcgregor's whiskey Proper 12. I was lucky enough to get the first served pour the other day! In addition to Proper 12 I had to have a Guiness, which was perfectly poured, and a double stacked burger. The burger came on a potato bun and hit the spot. It was a monster! I'll definitely be back here and especially for the upcoming UFC fight this weekend. Stop by here for a pint and some Proper 12!!
It's an Irish pub right on first avenue. It's pretty big, so chances of finding a spot here is more likely even during rush hours. It has an old vibe to it which I like. Also their happy hour food is pretty good, especially fish n chips and fish tacos. Finding street parking around here can be very difficult given how busy 1st Ave is.
