Love. Love. Love. Everything about the food here. Whether it's your first time trying Indian food or you haven't found the right one. Highly recommend! Me and the hubby come here time and time again! Practically regulars at this point. :) The owner here knows what food he's serving down to a T! Highly recommend the butter chicken, fried chicken momos, samosa, and any of the Naan's for anyone new to trying Indian food. I swear you won't be disappointed.
Cost is about $20 per person, which is awesome, considering location (near pike place) and how much you get! Anything you get are perfect leftover foods too.
This place was my first Indian food experience and definitely not the last. :)
During my recent visit to Seattle's Pike Place Market and downtown area, I had the opportunity to dine at Kastoori Grill, and I must say it's an excellent choice for those looking to savor Indian food quickly while exploring the city.
I opted for the momos and chats, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good they were. The flavors were authentic, and it made for a satisfying and delicious quick bite.
While the place may seem a bit deserted, don't let that deter you. The quality of food and service more than compensates for the appearance. The service was prompt, and the staff was courteous, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
Kastoori Grill might not be the coziest of restaurants for extended dining plans, but it shines as an excellent spot for those seeking authentic Nepalese, Indian, and Tibetan cuisine. What's even better is that they offer a range of vegetarian options, catering to various dietary preferences.
If you're in Seattle and looking to explore the city while enjoying a taste of Nepalize Indian and Tibetan cuisine, I highly recommend Kastoori Grill. It's the perfect place for a quick, flavorful, and satisfying meal that won't disappoint.
Kastoori Grill truly impressed me with their exceptional momos and Paneer Chilli. Despite the slightly smaller serving sizes, the food is incredibly delicious, making every bite a flavorful experience. If you're looking for outstanding cuisine that tantalizes your taste buds, Kastoori Grill is the place to go.
Good place and location. Close to Pike place market.
Popular spot for eating momos, many Indians and Nepalis come here 🙂
I tried the chilli momos, they are good. Also tried cheese momos and samosa chat. They were ok.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kastoori Grill and I must say, it was one of the best Indian food experiences I've had in many moons! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly service. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the aroma of spices and herbs filled the air.
The menu offered a wide range of traditional Indian dishes, and I was impressed with the quality and taste of everything I tried. The lamb curry was especially delicious - rich and creamy, with just the right amount of spice (requested hot and it was hot!) The garlic naan bread was also perfectly fluffy and flavorful.
But what really stood out to me was the level of hospitality and service from the staff. They were attentive and welcoming, always checking in to make sure everything was to our liking. It was clear that they truly cared about their customers and their dining experience.
And perhaps best of all, the prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.
Overall, I would highly recommend Kastoori Grill to anyone looking for delicious, authentic Indian food with friendly service and fair pricing. It's a gem of a restaurant and definitely worth a visit!
Love going here, always a good eating experience, chefs a nice dude and knows what he's doing in there!
Definitely recommend the butter chicken, samosas, garlic and potato naan. The naan itself is what makes us want to come back as often as we do!
See y'all soon!
I liked Indian curry here. It tasted delicious and authentic. The rice was also well cooked. Also, the staff were kind to me. The place was located, like, half underground, next to the uphill road. I recommend this place for a good Indian meal.
I think someone put a portal from the Seattle sidewalk into Nepal... the food and atmosphere here is 110% authentic. It's something between a hole-in-the-wall momo shop in Kathmandu and my mother's kitchen. If you can't handle accidentally biting into a chilli pepper or want a bland tasting but instagrammable dinner, don't come here. This restaurant is for people who want to eat real Nepali/Indian food, not the Americanized stuff you find in most places. This is my new favorite Seattle restaurant and I'll be back many times!
Important to read all of this entry.
Happened upon the Kastoori Grill, and were delighted. Quiet, peaceful, with excellent food and service (and we are very familiar with Indian cuisine). I would highly recommend.
UPDATE: I checked my Visa the day after eating at Kastoori Grill. Their initial posting with Visa was correct ($103.48 + $20 tip). I was checking Visa again today (we’re traveling), 9 days later, and was surprised to see another $20 was added to my bill.
Can’t contact them, either by email or the phone # listed on Facebook.
I’m very disappointed.
We ordered a ton of food from Kastoori grill. We were staying at a hotel nearby — walked across the street to pick it up … it was delicious! I go to Nepal a lot and was craving — Kastoori Grill came through ! Thank you — loved it.
